That's not the spirit tbh. In the first game you would always have 5 flasks which was more than enough to wade through the first areas, and here you are depleting your resources which might ruin you completely so that you are better of starting a new game if you're bad enough.

And how the fuck do we level up in this game? Laughing

you need to go to that maiden to level up, cant do it everywhere, but as far as i know you should be able to teleport there from every bonfire.

What version to get? i have Demon's Souls and Dark Souls PS3 versions but i didn't play them yet, overall what version of DS1 was better? PS3 or 360? i only play single-player so i don't care about the MP part. thanks Smile

Surely the MP part is compulsory?

I have Demon Souls and Dark Souls on PS3 and both games Ive had to team up online to progress.

I played both considerably but never finished them lol.

Good to hear. Some people feared that From has made it easier, but so far everyone says that is not the case. Smile

The one thing I really hated about Demon/Dark Souls games so far is rolling off a fucking cliff trying to avoid a target locked enemy or after defeating one!

Rage

its not that, i was expecting a certain person to go into rage mode again and write a long essay about how everyone playing it offline is a retard and completely missing the point of the game.

there s nothing wrong with playing it offline, i m gonna do it too with the ps3 version, and then play pc one online when its out.

You forget that this is not Master Race section where people write essays which they should have done in there school days Laughing

Nope, this is the herpderp section where no one is even bothering playing the game seeing as this thread only has me and Deelix who seems to have tried it.

And i must say the games greatest flaws are that enemies stop dropping stuff when you have killed them a few times, and that it's hard to grind xp in the beginning. I've never survived long enough to gain 1 level Laughing and now i'm stuck as i don't have enough souls for anything and enemies have stopped dropping healing items.

Think ill wait for the ps3 version as that's what I played dark souls on and I beat it offline and it was great fun even though there where some frustrating boss fights.

i m scared to even start it when i come back home from work, demons souls and dark souls completely obsessed me till i finished them, and then i had to dive back in right away for ng+.
the more these games rape me, the more i play them.

Frame rate is okay, some tearing on 360. I think it uses that adaptive vsync.

How do you use torches? I can see a 5:00 on the equip screen but no actual item to equip and no button prompts appear when standing next to braziers.
edit: Doh, you light them at bonfires.. Rolling Eyes

God damnit, how do you people find time to play all these games? I left Castlevania 2 halfway through to play South Park, haven't even finished that and now DS2 comes out... too many fucking games! Guess I'll finish SP first, I think I'm almost at the end (Inside mr. Slave's ass at the moment Very Happy)

I played (still haven't beaten) Dark Souls offline. My first two experiences with online play were getting invaded by some guy several levels above me and then fucked when I tried to fight him one on one thinking it would be a fair fight, and then summoning some guy to help me fight a mini boss type character (in the Undead Church) and having him one shot him when I was thinking this was going to be a fun group effort.

I quit after that. When I returned it was offline only and I haven't had a single problem. For the bosses where you "need" another hand there have always coincidentally been an AI summons.

Also where is the PS3 version. Like many others I think I'll run through this on the PS3 and wait for the PC version to buy for online - I just can't get into these PS3 graphics with the PS4 sitting right there.
