Yeah, believe me... iv been thinking about it a lot lately. GTA Online is whats keep me from doing it... Hard to say when we get a nextgen version.
And ill always choose x360 over PS3 if I have a choice, not because of the machine itself but the PS3 controller. God how I hate that chunky POS.

Am I the only one having trouble with the x360 repack version? I'm on an RGH console and I can't launche the game, I tried bot extracting it and converting it to GOD, in both cases the game shows a black screen for a couple of seconds and then crashes, the console tells me to "download the game again". WTF? Trying from a x360-formatted USB key now...

Just tested this. NTSC, works great.


Well, I'm loading GOD to a usb key, let's see how it does. Does this game need a new dashboard update by any chance? I haven't updated in quite a bit, but new games all run, so it's weird...

@The_Leaf : looks like you need a new dashboard update.. Typical error

@BOOMDOOM : if you aren't afraid of ban, I'm sure you can edit XBOX360 iso and inject a few files from the US rlz on the PAL one whenever it's out.. I remember doing it on some games to modify content. That was a long time ago though, before LT FW iirc, but that worked.

Specially in this game, I wouldn't be surprised that would work : the PS3 version at least is full of INI files about censorship true or false Laughing

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck updating with XeBuild destroied my profile! I hadn't even made a backup because I did it countless times at it NEVER touched the profiles... wtf! All the lost saves..... damn!

My fault for not backupping I guess.... just a word of warning for anyone else that needs to update: make a backup!

^know the feeling. you can uncorrupt profiles and savegames tho... but it doesn't always work.

Thanks, but it didn't help, Hash Block Calculator refuses to open the profile file, says it's damage. So does Horizon and X360 Content Manager, so I guess the profile itself is fucked.

What annoys me is that the saves are still there, and still seem to be ok, I tried opening the Castlevania LoS2 one with horizon and it looked good. But the game will not accept the new save, even after changing the Profile ID to a new profile and rehashing & resigning with horizon. It detects the save, but when the game starts it says "your save is corrupt, it will not be loaded". I opened it in a hex editor and it's mostly plaintext, I don't understand, it seems fine... the save itself must be tied to the old profile somehow... wasted 3 hours but still can't figure it out.

And to add insult to injury... SOUTH PARK STILL DOESN'T WORK! Same error as before, even if I'm on the latest dash/kernel! Wasted the entire afternoon and lost all my saves for nothing... fuck.

Ok, I managed to recover the only save I was interested in (Castlevania LOS2), so my rage has subsided a bit Very Happy

But I still can't launch south park... weird... I have the avatar update (I think... how can I tell if I do or not?) and I tried every possible combination I could think of (ISO, extracted files, GOD with padding removed, GOD without padding removed). But the fucker still tells me to re download the game...

If anyone has any ideas, please share.

EDIT: I just noticed the latest XeBuild GUI installs v16537, while the latest one I can download from microsoft website is 16547. Is there a version of XeBuild that installs the latest dash?

EDIT 2: I was not using the latest XeBuild it seems, trying with the newer one...

In the end it worked, but I had to play it on a newly made profile, it refused to run on any of the profiles I had in my xbox already.

Also to note that doing another upgrade (I had upgraded to the second-to-last dash, not the last) fucked up ANOTHER of my profiles... it's really weird, I never had that problem with Xebuild.
