why did you gave the latest one such a low score? its one of the best action movies of last year. a pure and fast shot of heart pumping andrenaline.

Out of the Furnance 8/10 Dragged on a bit in the beginning, but pretty damn good movie.

The Book Thief 9/10 tragic, yet a wonderful story.

Yeah, the premise is really great and the execution is top-notch, the ending could have been a little better (me and my fiancee had a different, better [IMO] theory regarding the culprit), but we really, really loved it. Very Happy

American Hustle. Very crazy (yeah, even crazier than Wolf of Wall Street), albeit very entertaining movie. The tragicomical performances by all the four main actors were very good and convincing. Also, I'm impressed by what Bradley Cooper can do with his characters, the guy really made me despise Richie DiMaso. Jeremy Renner shines n his relatively short screen time as well, but we already knew he's a very good actor.

The story is not that believable and at times a bit predictable, which means this isn't really a movie deserving a Best of the Year award. But it was certainly very intriguing and never boring, IMO. In the end, I enjoyed it more than Wolf of Wall Street, but mainly because of the performances (I thought Di Caprio did a good job in TWOWS but didn't impress me by any measure).

Now on to see the other nominated films!

homefront

actually didn't hate it, thought it was a decent enough thriller for the most part, and wasn't bored.

6/10.. enjoyable enough for an evenings entertainment, but not great enough to keep for a rewatch.

Non-Stop (2014) - 7.5/10 only problem was the bad CGI at the end.

The story is not that believable? Laughing Alot of this is from real life and then made into a hollywood comedy.

The beginning of the movie clearly states "Some of this actually happened", the important part being "Some". I've already watched too many hollywood movies to know that a lot of the stuff you see on screen didn't actually happen (or happen that way). Best example right now for me is he highly overrated "Argo" last year. And yeah, the story in AH wasn't really believable Wink

It's pretty good, and gives new insights (at least to me Very Happy ) on the story of Mary Poppins and origins of the character.
