However stuff you change in the in-game options don't go here, instead they go to the profile file which is something they've changed with this UE3 version.
By default that's profile.sav here - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*YourSteamAccountNumber*\239160\remote
I have no idea where Reloaded would have placed it.
(Either the game folder, programdata folder or the Username\Appdata folders - perhaps a folder named RLD and then the Steam AppID which is 239160)
EDIT: Oh and yeah since the game uses a profile file it's possible that ini tweaks don't have much if any effect on the game as the profile file settings override them.
(And the profile file can't be opened or at least it can't be displayed as simple text, coded in some way.)
So I downloaded the Reloaded version, but the game just crashes after I click Play on the launcher...
Anyone got any ideas?
fuckin install the Redists and update drivers and shit, or reinstall the damn game again.
maybe disable the antivirus and put the crack.
Everything's installed, everything's updated, I don't have an anti-virus installed, OBVIOUSLY I copied over the crack and I tried reinstalling the game. None of them worked.
What did work was downloading a different torrents crack however, I guess the crack that came with mine was broken.
Then I'd be careful, if it was tampered with it could be very bad, at worst a miner or other trojan.
(Hard to check beforehand unless you can the download and then scan the unpacked data from it and so on, plus false positives and varying results from different online scanners or even MSE or other free alternatives, even commercial ones can have errors or just be too restrictive in general.)
(Even for what should be trusted sources, someone got a bitcoin miner from TorrentLeech a while back which I assumed would be safe against such stuff due to amongst other stuff the very harsh rules they enforce.)
What's the side mission where you need painting cutting tools? I don't have them yet and I have just one mission left from the first(?) batch - the one about automaton or whatever it is called where you need to go to the tailors shop or something.
From the previous post it seems you can grab a painting from the job you take about getting the automaton arm back, I've not done that mission yet just because I'm collecting those tools first before I start doing complex* side missions.
(But you can replay missions in some way, I just don't know how yet.)
(*Meaning they have a separate area/loading screen denoted by that white glowing cloud, not just that you open a window to the neighbors apartment and retrieve a keepsake for Basil.)
I'm just not sure whether I should try to do this quest or start the second chapter
I guess I'll give it a try and see how it goes. If anything happens I got a save I can load.
I'd try the side missions, you'll want as much coin as possible so you can afford either equipment or upgrades for said equipment.
(Or those passive upgrades by buying relics or what I should call them.)
EDIT:

i think i read somewhere that you can replay stuff after you finish the game, side missions and all
you dont have to start them in the first place too.
Or maybe not, might want to do them once you have the tools needed.
(Though just do a manual save before you enter the area and if you encounter a electrical box or a bolted gate - plus whatever else there might be - then load and return when you have those items.)
Btw I'm having problems with RivaTuner Statistics Server .. it doesn't seem to work with this game. I use RSS+hwinfo for a real-time in-game monitoring (CPU load, GPU load, temperature, memory used etc)
Is there any alternative to this method that actually works with Thief?

What the fuck is it that people on here are completely unable to read lately? Did you not understand the point I was trying to make? I just picked that piece of shit because it's the most recent hilarious example of how useless game journalism is these days.
Let me put it in plain words: you said that if critics say something sucks, surely there must be something wrong. My point was that that is complete and utter horsecrap, because those same critics also praised CoD: Dawgs. I can't take their opinions serious in *any* way, whether it's positive or negative.
That's your problem. It impossible to state that every single critic is a moron and therefore no review is to be trusted. Especially if you take metacritic, where you have reviews covering both extremes.
And i certainly doubt that COD whatever got universal praise from the critics since the last one holds quite a bad score on metacritic based on a lot of reviews. Also everyone knows what COD is about and if you want a brainless cinematic shooter its hard to find much wrong with it. Kinda like criticizing a blockbuster action movie for being stupid. Yes it is stupid, but its meant to be. (just to clarify i stopped playing COD at MW2)

I haven't read any reviews, exactly because I couldn't care less what those dipshits have to say. But when the common reasons for the low scores are "bland", "no jump" and "bad AI" then I wonder how the (@*$%&(@#*$YTUHRGUREHG*&$Y*#&$ things such as Gears of War, Hitman: Absolution, Mass Effect 2+3 or indeed, Call of Dogs get scores above 9.0. Since those each fulfil at *least* 2 out of those 3 criteria.
Well most of the games you listed are not reboots and in the case of Hitman the press was quite divided. Some praised it, some didn't like it. And not being able to jump in a game like Mass Effect 2/3 which is basically a glorified corridor shooter isn't such a big issue than a game that supposed to be more free (based on previous games)

For that reason and that reason alone, I don't get how you or anyone else can have the balls to form an opinion based off critics' words. Especially not when the game comes from the guys who delivered DX:HR, which I'm pretty sure exceeded everyone's expections. Sure as hell exceeded mine at least, I fully expected catastrophic failure from that one.
You need balls to for an opinion about a game? Ok... Sure DX was great, but i don't see how that automatically transfers to this game. And again Deus Ex was quite praised.

And no, I'm still not saying this game is good. I'm just saying that you and anyone else citing anything any critic has to say need to be quiet, because you may as well start quoting Bill O'Reilly on his amazing "facts". Download the ISO demo and make your mind up like I will do or outright state that you watched a lot of videos and based your opinion on that. Just don't refer to critics as a meaningful source.
But i'm not quoting Bill O'Reilly am i? Not unless he started doing reviews of stuff... And what if i don't have an option of an ISO demo? Can't i base my opinion on critics if i want to buy the game or not? Who should i base it on? People here? Should i check everyone's history of games they like and only if it comforms to my expectations, i take that opinion as valid.
I'd agree with you if all i was basing my argument on was one reviewer who's notorious for liking only derp games (although i fail to see how this isn't a derp game with all the streamlined bullshit), but given the fact i take into account most of the reviews, i fail to see how that invalidates what i have to say.

Yeah the new beta version of Afterburner supports 64 bit games. The RivaTuner developer has an exclusive contract with MSI so no 64 bit support for EVGA Precision for a while
So fucking retarded. I don't want to see "press e" every time i view a object i can pick up, but i do want "press e" when some quicktime event happens, or when you are doing something unusual.
Haven't played a lot yet but graphics and atmosphere are great. So is the performance. I also like the jewelry you can steal and the movements when you do it perfectly fitting and atmospheric.
Still don't know why many sites give it under 7/10
But maybe it's because the story and the ai might be shit. Well I will play it anyways So far feels like a Thief game. A modern thief game of course.
And by the way: 4gig of ram are enough. Usually it takes 3,4-3,9gig not more. 8gig my ass once again....
well ive played a bit more and im happy, id give it 7.5+/10 overall
the thing is .. dont rush the game, take your time and explore. crank up the difficulty to a minimum of master, turn on deadly guards, turn off focus, turn off highligts etc etc
and you basicly have deadly shadows with fancy graphics, i havent had any problems with performance, sound is good on 5.1, would be nice with more native AA options tho since on w8.1 i cant get sweetfx to work (tried everything and then some), the graphics are quite good, and art direction solid
i think the atmosphere is great, level design is a bit small but at the same time so where the other thief games, its still enjoyable. main character is a emo derp and story is a bit iffy, but to be honest.. most games released nowdays have some shit story and unlikable main character so i didnt expect anything else
the only thing i wanna complain about is that you cant set the custom difficulty options on the fly, wich means you have to play the test level and the first mission to get a feel for how the option affected gameplay, and then start over. wich isnt optimal. they explain the diffrent options OK, but its still hard to know
This might be a stupid question but how do you let go of a rope? The start of chapter two I jump on a rope and climb down but there isn't any platform near where I can press space and jump to. I just want to drop down.
Ryzen 5 5600, ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II, Corsair Vengeance RGB RT 32GB 3600MHz C16, MSI RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3X OC , Corsair RMx Series RM750x. AOC AGON AG324UX - 4K 144Hz 1ms
Just finished it, was a nice stealth game, the story was pretty stupid though, guess this game is forgotten pretty fast. I guess we won't see another Thief, because the press wasn't really satisfied with it. Fans are angry too or well displeased.
