From now through March will probably be the last great time period of good 360/ps3 games coming out one after another, we should enjoy it while it lasts.

Yeah, first game was on two discs. Anyway, waiting for impressions. Curious if the modern day setting and stealth sections are really that bad.

I only tried the demo on PS3 and thought it looked really good... If the 360 version looks better then wow ! When I meant good, I meant it didn't look like vaseline was applied all over, and it wasn't that aliased, like some / most multi platform games.
It looks as crisp as a God of War game to me !

Seems like a steady 30fps, no framedrops yet at least. (The same can not be said about Thief)

i like the game, graphics are good med/upper tier multiplatform standard. But... why do they still have constantly looping taunt phrases when fighting dudes.. "YOUR MINE" "BLABLA"... thats so annoying.

Anyone know how and where to get the 2nd dungeon key? Im in the city of the damned, surrounded by lava and seemingly no place to go without the key :/

MMM, I'm conflicted about this game.
The tutorial is epic beyond description: enemies, big titans, battling angels... it's awesome and gets you pumped up for more action.
Then the first mission starts and I'm like... wtf is this? Hiding behind cover? Distracting guards? Sneaking past enemies and hiding in the shadows? I thought this was castlevania, not splinter fucking cell! The level gets a bit better later, when you enter the old castle, but the parts in the "real world" are just awful. There's like... one enemy encounter and one boss encounter in the entire chemical plant! I hope things get a bit more dynamic in the next levels, because until now it has all been sneaking around, distracting guards and assassins creed-esque parkouring.
Other than that the game mechanics are excellent: combat is tight and fast, requires precision and quick reflexes (playing on higher difficulty), platforming sections work alright (although a bit too guided for my taste) and boss battles are plentiful and varied (in fact, in the first level I dare say there are more bosses/mini bosses than actual enemies  )
Graphics are great (for the 360) a bit of aliasing but colors are rich, character models are sharp and lighting is well calibrated to give great atmosphere.
All in all it has the potential to be an awesome game, as long as there's a little more action in the later levels, because in the first one I felt less like dracula and more like sam fisher to be honest.
