I jsut aquired a couple of games, and I noticed they are just Iso files, I guess for the Cobra thing ..... but is there anyway I can get them to run on just Rogero 4.50 .... the only file I got is the ISO file !?!
they wont work on a standard rogero cfw,you'll need a cobra cfw. rogero 4.46 cobra edition,habib 4.53 cobra that sort of thing.
Im not sure but cant you extract the isos back to a standard type ps3 game folder structure?

I would be all for getting Cobra ODE but I don't have any tools to get it done on my super slim ps3. And that shit looks quite easy to fuck up on my model sadly.
Finally got my hands on an old "fat" 80GB model, was about to order a 3k3y but noticed all this 4.55 broohahah going on.
Looks like these older models are still safe though, thoughts anyone?
yes 4.55 blocked ODD, and that's why real custom firmware route will always be a vastly superior method to play backups.
since you have a fat, you should just have it downgraded and CFW'ed, there are plenty PROs who do that for a small fee, and you'll end up with a much better hack for a lot less money than this overpriced ODD shit.
Yah I had a super nice original 60GB on custom firmware for a long time but Sony caught me after I got lazy.
I wanted to go the ODD route because it seemed like no one was getting banned. Looks like I'm still mostly safe on 4.55 with the FAT consoles though... although something about the 3dump file still causing crashes when updating looks lame.
Noob question.. i have PS3 slim running Rogero 4.50 cfw, to updgrade to Rogero 4.55 can i simply update from my existing cfw or do i need to downgrade first?

I have a PS3 on latest CFW (banned), and I just picked up an old "fat" 80GB PS3 and ordered a 3k3y for it (I'm stubborn and always after the holy grail of having .iso loading/burning and still getting online).
I was reading about how to put PSN downloads into ISO format to play via 3k3y. But they all mention that you need to have the "crack" for the files to get them to run.
Is it possible to put the clean PSN files on my CFW machine first, run reactpsn on the files, then extract back out, convert to ISO and play from 3k3y?

sTo0z, the activation files or edat files are still needed to load these up, they are not stored in the psn game´s folder but in the account folder so i doubt it will work just like that.

Getting the hardware into an old fatty PS3 wasn't much of a big deal, the real fun happens AFTER that shit is installed.
I couldn't find any solid docs or info on what to do next, all the 3k3y instructions say is basically you're done!
Loaded that bitch up and couldn't find any blue lights happening, just a red one. Figured it was power but couldn't be sure. Eventually found out the red light is good, but missing blue lights. Went and started researching that. Found 93482 out-dated threads filled with bullshit. 38947294 threads with different instructions on what to try next.
Finally found one thread about wiping some douchebag file out (fpga) and having to re-build some shit via PC. Went through all that and finally got some blinking blue lights going on. Was a bitch to find out what those meant...! Just everyone saying, "YOU NEED 5!" Eventually after some digging I found out it was complaining about some keys. Finally got the gyo.db thing going, whatever the fuck.
Finally get to 5 blue lights. Ok. Now what? Barely any documentation afterwards. Got some hints that I needed to snag that IsoTools program, and re-build some nice JB rips into some nice ISOs. Figured out the IRD thing easy enough, rebuilt some files.
Ok. Now what? Ok, figured out you need to have USB in a certain file structure. Got that shit all going, plugged that bitch in... NOTHING.
I must have googled for "3k3y load iso" and about over 9000 variations of those words and still cannot find any solid info. Eventually stumbling on a video of some dude showing you have to go into the PHOTOs section and open the new DATA DISC option that shows up.
Well fuck me, pretty intuitive right?! NO. And then a white fucking block that says EJECT TO LOAD. What the fuckshit does that even mean? Fuck it then, pushed eject, some shit happened, then nothing.
Went back, did it again. Nothing. More research, no answers anywhere. Go back and try again, this time I open up the stupid white block file and get a nice huge white block image on my screen. Well this is pretty goddamn fun, LOOKS LIKE I LOADED AN ISO AMIRITE?!
I back the fuck out of that and try the eject to load shit one more. Fuck me in the fucking ear, a disc fucking showed up and loaded the fucking game.
Now since 4.55 ODE has been crippled.. No XMB menu, no being able to patch. I remember seeing someone mention being able to turn pkg into iso and run that way, so I start looking. JESUS FUCKING H CHRIST BOYS. Let me fucking tell you. Trying to google anything like "3k3y convert pkg to iso" or any such language, will get you NOWHERE. Just bullshit outdated articles full of SHIT.
After a fucking miracle sent from fucking above, I find DOUCHEBAGKILLAH and his douchebag app (excellent app by the way, thanks bro). Get that bitch of a pkg file to run as iso, install that shit ass patch so good for my game.
So now I'm on latest OFW, I can load games, I am online, I can patch, FUCKING FUCK.
All that's left is fucking drunk bitch ass dance you have to do every time you want to play a goddamn game.
You have to load your stupid shit ass PS3 without a goddamn disc in the stupid ass tray to get into emulation mode. GUESS WHAT YOU NEED THAT SHIT IN THERE TO LOAD GAMES. So you put that shit back in there to load your fucking games. TROLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Can't get that fucking bitch disc back out now. When you're done and you wanna play next time, (ODE crippled in 4.55, can't quit via XMB, gotta power down!) you have to boot the fucking system up with the disc inside, which disables emulation mode, fucking rip that stupid ass disc out, power down, then power back up without disc inside. Fucking D0UCH3K3Y. Then you put it back in again when you are able to load your next game. WILL IT LOAD?! I DON'T FUCKING KNOW. MAYBE OPEN THAT FUCKING WHITE BLOCK SHIT UP, MAYBE NOT?!

For some reason I enjoy the cat and mouse game of getting online with iso loading. Still have my old 60gb PS3 with latest CFW but Sony threw down the gauntlet and banned that machine. I do not accept these terms, and now I have fired back.
