hmmm. Dunno. Dell laptops are always well built but I dunno. there was always something off with dell laptop when I used one. Like broken hinge or smth

Lenovo G500/s looks okish. It have nvidia 720 as secondary gpu, 1tb drive and i3-3120m which is one of best i3 processors. (which doesnt say much)

Ok, I got her lenovo g510.
It have i3-4000m
1tb drive
4gb ram
r5 m230 amd card
and intel 4600 as normal card
It came with windows 8 and and all bloatware shit.... jesus fuck it is terrible system. i can't find or set anything easitly. Everything is hard to find and navigate.... what were they thinking... And i couldnt even acces the bios. It was all governed by win8 and some uefi startup. I had to switch back to legacy bios startup. Deleted 5 (FIVE) hidded restore partitions and installed windows 7 64bit. (funny thing is that the morons made C: drive 800gb by default and d drive only 20... wtf. I made it all normal ahci, 100C and everything else D.
Anyway. I am having problems with drivers as fuck on this thing. Lenovo site have some bad drivers. Cant instal both graphics card and I think chipsed drivers is bad..
Found out that drivers for intel 4600 I had to install were win8 drivers from lenovo site... now it works. Any ideas where and how to search for newest proper drivers? anything else I should know about usage of laptop like that ?

Should just stick to win8 IMO... just install a start button thing (I use something called StartW8) and you barely notice it's not win7.

Just pick amd mobility radeon HD 5000 or newer. Its always the same package anyway.

my gf seems happy with it. And people say that this r5 230m is not even remotely terrible for some games (which she doesnt plan on playing anyway) - not bad for 600$
