Did a "Performance Optimization"... Is there any other option i should touch now?

PS: It's supposed to load shit instantly..and i've noticed about that with the boot up,yeah... but...Not loading firefox in a sec but 3?.. grinhurt

Explanatiooon!

Also, my BIOS says it's in AHCI mode...Is there anything else i should check out to make sure the drive's working correctly and to it's max Speed?

Also (again)...I am sure that i've formatted my 1TB HDD..But whenever i boot up i see a "Old Windows Version" (supposed XP from 1TB HDD's partiiton) and... TWO WINDOWS 7?!

Fix plz?

Aww *hugs the beloved Caviar Blue snail*
One day I'll switch to SSD too, the difference is really huge in pretty much everything. It's incredible really. Razz But the caviar buddy needs to hold up for some more months, especially now that the warranty has just expired xD

Well not everything is going to open in 1 second, depends on what the app loads and how optimized it is ofc, loads of different factors.
But you should clearly notice massive difference between this and your old hdd, and that's what counts, not the little details Wink

Well atleast the System booted up my messengers and stuff faster...even Kaspersky I.S 2013 (fuck 2014,it hides Trillian's notifications) searches for viruses in less than 30 minutes..

Trying it with many programs..GOOD THING i've bought the 250GB version..now i have 136GB free (That's Steam, my personal stuff, programs...Shit,this is great)..and my 1TB keeps it's Windows XP partition (but for that i must change to IDE)

...And yes,i've set Pinnacle Studio 12's Capture folder in my 1TB HDD to prevent trolling..Safe bet but now with this SSD

The weird thing is...Samsung Magician says AHCI is enabled, but the BIOS from my MoBo (in my Sig,and it's updated to the latest version) says "No AHCI detected!", even the BIOS detects it but when the "Boot up HDD Order sequence" is shown, only my DVD and WD HDD is shown...

Why's that?

....And for Fuck's sake, NO MORE TROLLING OR I'LL REPORT YOU TROLLS! ..I'm trying to be nice in this community...

Your not supposed to install anything on any SSD!, period!, as you now have to spend your life trying to prevent any kind of 'writes' to the drive.

In fact, the proper SSD guides recommend to install, but leave the SATA connector disconnected for best performance, plus you will be preserving the life of the drive.

Oh, and NEVER put the 'pagefile' on there, it will wear your drive down in seconds.

btw. figured out my confusion. Obviously you can defrag a ssd in windows, but you can't schedule it for automatic defrag., that's what's disabled by default Smile (or better ssd won't show up, period).

With Winblows 8, one can 'optimize' an SSD at the click of a button, effectively running trim on the drive. Rather handy is that feature Smile
