Game Informer got their hands on a near-final build of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes for their March cover story, and they say they beat the game's main mission (not including side quests or special console-exclusive missions) in less than two hours.

strait BullShit from KOTAKU and from GameInformer that said its 4h long
why , Kojima demoed the game and they completed the main mission in 15 min and one of few side missions in 10min... it was said you could complete it in 1h or even less
what did you expect , its a payed tech demo branded as prelude to MGSV , just like other games did the same thing before it ... Dead Rising 2 Ground Zero and two other games that just escaped my mind , they only make a big fuss about it in the news because it costs half of the original then 1/3... simple put they are saying your money is not worth it
but then again a ticket for a movie costs the same so why the big wuss sissy hissy act
Kojima says that people shouldn't be so fussed about how long it takes them to play it once. He issued the following statement (in handy image form) over Twitter earlier today:
But I doubt MGS5 GZ will be as awesome as the MGS2 demo to be honest.... MGS3 which was awesome didn't have a "wow demo", and MGS4 didn't have any demo altogether, but the game didn't wow me either.
The MGS2 intro is memorable, and was a wow factor

To be fair, I got days of enjoyment out of the MGS2 demo. Then again, we didn't have to pay for it. But still, there was lots to do, explore and be wowed by.
mgs2 trailer back before it got released had the greatest "wow"-factor in gaming for me.
that game was too fucking next-gen back then, in fact no game ever since has been as next-gen as mgs2.
Agreed. This was one of the most (the most ?) exciting game I had been booted up ever since I owned a PS2... I remember showing the intros from the demo to friends, and all were amazed.
...now imagine the MGS2 demo being sold for 30€ back then. Not enough "wow" for that price if you ask me.
So I don't know how most people experienced the MGS2 demo but for me I paid $50 to Zone of Enders which came with the mgs2 demo. ZOE was a great game but to be honest I mainly purchased to get the MGS2 demo as soon as I could.
