weapon you wield give you a fast attack, a slower attack (more damage) and block.

Additionally you can equip up to 5 skills.

Not the worst thing i've seen.

Played for 45min or so now. What a crap game Surprised

I would maybe still consider buying it, if it was buy2play like Guild Wars. But with a sub too? Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

edit: I had the watermarking even while playing. They really make this game more important than it is in reality.

I have a feeling, this will flop very much like SWTOR. Selling pretty good in the first month, and then BAM all servers nearly empty.

Does it seem to have potential for build variety or is it like Skyrim where it's easy to become a "jack of all trades" and the community is eventually going to be full of identical builds?

No real skill trees.
You advance in several skill areas (like light armor, staff weapons, etc) and also get skill points.
If you reach a specific skill level in one area, you can invest your skill points into it to unlock new skills.
Every unlocked skill level gets level up then the more often you use it (like in the singleplayer games)

What a horrible game. They basically left in the worst part of an Elder Scrolls game and removed the best parts Laughing

They left in some Elder Scrolls elements like crates to open but manage to make it far worse by making it horribly tedious to do so.

Elder Scrolls are fun games because you can explore freely, loot places to the bone, do tons of crazy shit, beef up your character, experience some great settings AND tons of mods.

What we get, is worse combat than what the SP game has, no more looting, no more freely moving stuff about, limited character building, no mods, and it just doesn't feel right - none of it. It kinda looks Elder Scrolls but feels off in every way.

Having said that, I like the art style a lot even though it's dated.

That's what made the series so good, right- mods, exploration and freedom. IMO combat always sucked because you kill same type of enemies the whole time. When you get tired of it, you join some guild/s and complete their missions. Or just steal everything you can/want. Or download some cool mods with new areas/enemies/loot/whatever. So far I don't see such things in the streams. But it's only Beta, maybe they will do something like the Neverwinter Online's foundry?

I really like it so far. Feels like a proper RPG - and not a super gamey themepark MMO, though time will tell.

Definitely getting it.

Could you explain why it feels like a proper RPG? I didn't get that sense at all from it but maybe I'm missing something.

Hmm... I'm feeling this is Skyrim Lite edition.

Trouble is, I kinda feel there is a lot more to the game we're not seeing yet - for example, what is the Add on menu for - what addons are we talking about - DLC or other things?

Combat feels pure Skyrim/TES - which TBH isn't all bad, at least it is proper twitch combat, and not hybrid like in GW2 or TSW. So thats good.

Shame the beta won't be up long enough to really get a good feel for the content... but, I'm not going to write this game off totally yet - it's reasonably good graphically, although setting the game to Ultra killed my framerate for some reason...

game doesnt hold your hand, there are still elder scroll elements ( not that there was single good element that defined elder scrolls so who really cares )
There are puzzles and exploration, quests at least so far arent kill 20 random pigs,
it isnt perfect but its much better than i expected

But doubt its worth overpriced 60$ and a sub...

So far, I haven't been that impressed. The quests have been all the same, I also wonder what the game will be reduced to once you've completed all of the dull quests, will it just be pvp or raids? It complicates things quite a lot that you can only target a player by aiming at them. Neutral

It also baffles me immensly that they intend to charge the PC audience for a complete and utter console port, let alone charge anything for this game.
