Even though it's no longuer a horror game like DS1, I think it still was a pretty good game!

Didn't read the orig post clearly, that's my fault. I'll edit out my post in that case.

Just finished Resident Evil (gamecube remake version).
FINALLY. after so many years of NEVER playing first res evil more than 15minutes, a game of my childhood is done (although in remake version).
Loved it. It looked and played nicely. Some puzzles were a drag and backtracking was also too much sometimes. All the voice actors were kinda cheesy but in a good res evil way.
Overall, I am glad I've finished this part of history.
Now on to Res4 best way possible! Wii emulated version, full mouse control and original graphics (+high res in dolphin). Granted I've finished re4 like 3 times but only borked pc trash version

Finished Thief 3 last night for the first time, a playthrough that was started in November
Overall I loved it.
Great mix of thief 2 thieving missions and thief 1 monster/spooky parts.
The craddle alone was worth of being a single player DLC, and today it probably would be.
Played that level alone for 3 days.
Soundtrack was also absolutely mind blowing.
And the ending put a smile on my face bringing me back to like 1999 when i first played thief 1.
The bad parts are:
Can't remake some buttons without unplugging gamepads as that crashes the game.
Then not sure if its a widespread bug, but jumping often leaves you in a floating state that can be fixed by cancelling an arrow shot... Annoying as hell.
Loading screens are just total crap. thief 1 had bigger levels half a decade earlier.
AI was pretty bad.
Level lighting was inconsistent. I had to manually change brightness settings per level.
Constant backtracking through 4 different city areas got a bit tedious as well.
Journo rating for the masses: 87/100
Great, but flawed by tech and bugs.
But still at the end, when i saw warren spector as lead, i clapped and bowed in my room like a weirdo
Great game that will be in my classics library from now on, even though i unjustly called it derpy in the past.

DA2 is still a decent game. I kinda liked it but it's light years away from the first.

Time to bump this thread.
Just recently finished:
Shadow Warrior - surprsingly good. Liked it alot for it's humour as well
Xcom 2 War of the chosen - very addictive game to me. Hoping for a 3rd game this year.
Hellblade Senua's sacrifice - very atmospheric but more of a walking sim than a game despite having combat

A Hat in Time - 8.5/10
Somehow I ended up with this on Steam, must have been on sale or in a bundle.
Very fun little game, reminded me of Psychonauts, mixed with a little bit of the 3D mario games, with the visual style of Windwaker. Not terribly complex, in fact almost too simple at times. Still, writing was dark, but fun. Took me about 3 days of off and on playing.

Transformers: War for Cybertron & Fall of Cybertron - 7.9/10
Pretty good TPS games, recommended even if you aren't interested in Transformers stuff. Only those two games were made by High Moon Studios, the other ones all suck.
Pollen (P.O.L.L.E.N) - 7.3/10
Exploring a research station on the moon Titan. Why did it slightly remind me of Cryostasis? I don't know. The story is a bit meh but at the end there is a really trippy sequence that made it worthwhile.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - 7.5/10
Beautiful game, walking is slow as fuck though. I like that it's set in 1984 british countryside, felt like a fresh scenario. Lots of mundane villager dialogue though, story could have been better just like in Pollen but it's made up by the excellent calming atmosphere and the big map.
COD Black Ops 3 Campaign - 8.3/10
Good FPS, got some nice environments, snappy controls, interesting sci-fi story (but at the end almost everyone dies again, too bad I really liked Kane). Lots of background lore to read about in the Codex and like Black Ops 2 more replayability through customization. But overall I have to say I prefer the more linear, more tightly scriped campaigns to this one. It plays a bit like a mix of Crysis (due to the DNI functions and some more open areas) and classic COD. Was also looking forward to the Zombie campaign but it's fucking lazy, they just took the main campaign levels 1:1, added zombies, muted the NPC audio and added some background voice over. L-A-Z-Y

I still have MGS 5 in my backlog, hope it's good.
But I want to play some shorter games first.
