I was like that when I read the description Well, not exactly like that, tbh, after all I am a very open minded person, so I decided to give it a try, and all I can say I was not disappointed. Well.. in fact I was. but not with the tv series per se but with the fact that it didn't have a second season.
Chloe was awesome, the story was engaging,family interactions between a new found father/mother and her\his children were interesting to watch (I mean, imagine if you were at their place) , it was fun to see how Chloe dealt with the local rednecks and the show itself is very.. how should I put it.. Paul Abbotish.
