As I have mentioned before, very few games interest me anymore (old fart that I am). Anyway I decided to try this again and I absolutely love it! I have Drakensang,Drakensang the river of time and it's expansion all on one disk.

Therefore I am looking for similar games, where the story draws you in and you actually care about your characters and of course the tactical side/levelling are great fun.

Please not the following:
Neverwinter 1 (played to death)
Neverwinter 2 (the camera stinks I hate it with a passion) Smile
Demonicon (Didn't like this much at all, found it tedious and boring)
Dragon age 1 + 2 played to death

Any others of a similar ilk? Preferably newish and with a long playing time/story.

Thanks

TOEE is not much in terms of story, but definitely the best D&D adaptation. A Farewell to Dragons it's nice, but don't forget to grab the fix for the final battle. Game is crashing afterwards and you won't see the ending unless you put that fix.

Hard to be a God has a nice story. Starts slow as hell, but what a spin. Sadly, not that many games like Drakensang... Sad

You're looking for a longish new modern isometric RPG

Good luck brother, I've been searching for years. Replaying old games is pretty much your only option.

I don't see the first Witcher in your list. Have you not played it?

KOTOR 1/2 and Baldur's Gate 1/2 aren't in your list, but I assume you have already played them, right? Razz
There isn't much when it comes to recent-ish games though. Sad Divinity II, Mars: War Logs and Kingdoms of Amalur could qualify, but they aren't very 'tactical', they're action RPGs. Still very good games in my opinion, especially the former.

Venetica was really good, aside from all technical problems, I'd love to see a sequel to it but prolly will never happen Sad

It was. But it's very hard to find a retail copy. I've got mine a few years back from a friend that was in Netherlands. Spotted on an online store there and asked him to buy it for me. I did the same stuff for Drakensang: River of Time and Phileason's Secret.

You should be able to find Venetica on Amazon.

Is Gamersgate safe to buy from? Last time I tried, the page where you enter your credit/debit card details was not HTTPS: so i didn't trust it.
