24cents an account from the drops atm - 100 will get you 24 bucks after you ran the cheevo manager for 3 hours on each... 300 hours split between 2-4 machines and you could be sitting on that fortune in about 3-6 days. Finally you will be able to buy loads of keys and trade them for all those great bargains in the sale... oh wait

A much better system, would have been random card drops during a game, but without a limit but also work with rare and uncommon cards and make the drop rate 5 times slower at the very least. Also, to prevent abuse, limit the cards an account can get each day. This would mean people would get a real reason to trade properly - some cards would be harder to get and short games would be worth several cards of a long game, etc. But wahey, Steam doesn't give a fuck about setting up a balanced system. They want to empty our wallets so let's make the amount of cards you can get fixed so you have to buy or trade the last 3-4-5 cards. *facepalms*
valve has a history of not thinking shit through very well
but no valve should not suspend its cards - its a free market for a reason, i dont want valve fucking with it..
what valve SHOULD have done, was just add a 'free' version to everyones account who logs in during the event... i say 'free' version, in the same way tf2 is free, and the free version doesnt give cards unless you 'upgrade'. thats what they SHOULD have done. but they didnt, so
Fucking lego marvel super heroes for 14.99. That's damn tempting. Those games are fun as hell playing local co-op. Gotta get myself a couple of controllers first. If sony would get their asses in gear and put out an official xinput driver for the DS4 I'd jump on that. The various wrappers don't do everything yet.

So you could get a 1$ game (or cheaper DLC) now and get castle of illusions for 2.49$ on 1st of January.
