there was something similar i think with battle realms.

units can get experience.
a unit have an x number of people.
people in a unit can be killed, but, at some places on the map (i think), you can get them back to life. (or at a building ?)
you can take units from map to map in campain. (limited number, depends of the progresion. if you have 10 on first map, you can get only 2 on the next one. random number.)
on some maps, the some units are not availible to be refreshed, if you get people killed, so if you lose x people from an unit, you need to get them to another map to get them back.

not spellforce, not myth, not some thing in warhammer/lotr universe.
some unit was archers i think, upgraded with flamming arrows (not really sure about this.)

so your looking for a :
1.RTS ... not a turn based game like Fantasy General
2.IT HAS A FANTASY SETTING.. similar setting to spellforce, myth, warhammer/lotr
3.UNITS GET EXP and YOU CAN TRANSFER THEM FROM MISSION TO MISSION

uhm hmmm is it Warlords Battlecry ?

thanks, will check my archive and i will install warlords when i get home, a bit limited with browsing and installing stuff at work, but from what i remember warlords is hero centered game ? (canot see youtube links.)

from what i remember in what i'm trying to find, what you transfer from map to map is some units wich contain 6-8 people. (not 100% sure.) and the interface (down the screen) have next to units, some dots, wich represent the people number in that unit.

Rage of Mages
Knights and Merchants
Tzar: The Burden of the Crown
Braveheart

and there was one more game based on voxel maps , it was a rts/rpg with hercules ,athena and other Greek mythology things on 2cds... forgot the name , have the discs somewhere

and for screens why not use Google or Mobygames

Might be one of the Battlezones or one of the Parkans.

Battlezone:

The first Parkan (FPS section):

i'm pretty sure it's battlezone
i remember the ice escort mission, but i think it was the main constructor you were escorting

great game
way ahead of it's time
only thing comparable today is the arma series, and the upcoming scifi game from the same devs
would love a total war game in this style

looks more like an unofficial code update to me

H are stairs, = is floor, _ floor, but it disapear as soon as you walk over.
