Those screens look pretty good just like the overall game itself. But like with every potential steam early access game I won't bother till there's a final release. Only game I bought on early access so far was ARMA 3 and that one seemed to be an exceptional case where it was much cheaper than the final release. Same situation with DayZ SA which I won't be buying for a very long time, if ever

I agree, I'm a bit too impatient though so if they offer early access I tend to get interested and why not support the developers at the same time. Very Happy
(ARMA 3 should be in beta really, two parts of the campaign still to come and it gets numerous bugfixes weekly although it's nothing too different from the earlier ArmA games really, Bohemia is pretty dedicated, no idea how they are doing economically though.)

Of course beta would be the better choice for those interested in actually playing the game early since most mechanics will be in place and the game should be fairly feature complete at that stage.

Though it varies from game to game as well. Smile

There's another big positive for these "Early access" releases though, you get other people to spend the money instead of you and play the role of (alpha/beta) testers, if the game is not worth it you're gonna hear it first hand from the players themselves way before it's already too late Smile

Damn, this game seems really fun! Tried a few battles, but i won't proceed as it feels pretty damn far from release, and won't spoil myself from a incomplete game.

If there is one thing i don't like about the game as it is, it's that you hold both conversation with the man and the woman. Speaking to yourself in a way. Intriguing concept, but it personally doesn't work for me :/

Yeah the game is designed for coop play so single player won't make much sense.

I've decided to not play it much till they actually add in coop like the game was designed for.

Well, cool for coop, but for single player they should let you choose the player character and the computer character for dialogue. Bro-op ain't for me. Especially not in a rpg game. I always play slowly to get as much as i want/need of the game and don't want someone trying to rush or keep me back.

I also don't like that concept (second character should be strictly optional) but oh well, maybe it won't be that bad in the end...

I believe they will add that. I remember Swen talking about some options for the personality of the second character or some such.

No it is not, stop with this retarded nonsense. Game was originally designed that way and coop IS optional.

You don't like it? You mean, just like you don't like bunch of other games out there? Wow, let's tell everyone in the internet.

Stop acting like this is an objective issue of the game. It is not. it is your personal issue and that is. This is the first time ever I heard such complain and I've been on official forums when the game was announced and never encountered anyone who would point this out as a problem.

Well, that must mean that the steam version is not really up to date with what they're working on. Hard to imagine this version being this close to release Laughing

Edit: Early beta access is not early enough? Alpha access grants even earlier access! Receive an earlier early access code to get digital downloads of the alpha builds.

Definitely Early access on the date you mentioned if anything.

So why have they added 2 characters that you answer each dialogue yourself in single player instead of 2 separate people answering their own?

And I never said I didn't like it but it's like u have schizophrenia in single player with the one person choosing both answers when it should be 2 different ppl choosing their own answers.
The game will be alot better when 2 friends are playing the 2 different characters.

So how about you get off your high fanboy horse and look at what you typed before berating someone you don't fking know Smile

Sheesh, read the top of the previous page AI controlled conversations *are* going to be part of the game, if they're not in the alpha it's because the game is an alpha. I fully expect the behaviour options to make an appearance before full release, but for now you simply control both.

Yah, they've mentioned numerous times that you'll be able to select a 'personality' for your companion, effectively making him/her an NPC in conversations.

How about you stop talking about things you have no idea about?

What?
The game is about these two characters based on the old concept of Beyond Divinity. Basically it is the same concept but done better, without publishers pressure and crap. The whole point is to have two characters at disposal, just like original.

Of course you don't know that because you probably never played BD. Question is why you talk about things you don't know like you do know?

Character presets do not exist in alpha, because, well, it is alpha? Shocker, an incomplete game lacks features.
They will be added later.

It depends. I see the value in multiplayer, but I see another type of value in singleplayer. Which is rare with such games.
Right now I have no issues answering any question and in fact it is quite entertaining game to keep in mind to characters for each, well, character. For me, Roderick is more free-will, fun-loving, mischievous while Scarlett is more obedient, righteous.

Or, you know, you could stop shitting on game you know nothing about. Or read about it from first-source before.

I wonder why this hasn't been leaked, Wasteland 2's beta was out in a day. After reading all the positive impressions I would even be willing to buy it, but there doesn't seem to be any early access program.

I guess Divinity backers have more integrity. Wink Or it's simply not as popular as W2.
