Well, I actually agree with that. I do think alot of them and people in thegeneral entertainment industry are getting waaaay to much money for random shit (especially those dickwads who do reality tv).
But more to the point, the reason I drew parallels there is because some people who think YT are being too greedy for some reason might think that twitch gamers are completely OK.

Of course there needs to be more than 1 or 2 so I hope some big channels will follow.
I just wish for more gameplay vids where no one is talking, because every time you shine a camera on some person they feel the need to act silly/talk all the time, exaggerate their responses...

The more people leave Scroogle, the better. DailyMotion 1080p is a lot higher quality than ShitTube anyway - Scroogle can't affor the bandwidth.

So its not they need to get a 'real job'. They need to get a 'real host'. Was my argument.
If its your life blood and main income, and a real job to you. Have a real, reliable, less volatile hosting infrastructure than just youtube and their whims.

Doing a walkthrough is always an effort seeing you have to play, record and upload it. Couldn't care less who earns money from it and who don't. Just find it a bit silly to tell which is more in their right than others
As strange as it may seem to you, that's how it is. People watch these videos mostly for the person playing the games, they would watch whatever the person is playing, the game doesn't matter much. A person who is obnoxious to you can be entertaining to someone else.
Earning money by showing others how you casually play some game is nothing more than theft/profiting from someone else's work.
Playing games is not work, unless you do it competitively or do some very in depth stuff.

Whats broke: relying on a 3rd party hoster where your income is at the whim of and you have not one bit of control over for your livelihood. Trading the security and personal regulation of your content, for its convenience and no cost hosting.
How to fix it: If you consider it your professional job, get a professional host and host it.
You dont want to worry about who has the power to decide what does and doesn't make it? quit putting your content into the hands of someone else, giving them the right to say what to show. They act like youtube is it some right, or public service that's being denied to them now...
