BBC Live text

Quote:

Huge drama! Galatasaray know they need to win and they may just have done exactly that. Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder pops up to steer a Didier Drogba across Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon and into the bottom corner. Sensational scenes as the Turk Telecom Arena erupts!

2 things, scoring with Drogba cant be a goal can it ? and secondly Sneijder must have some power in that shot to hit Drogba hard enough to fly into the bottom corner.

@Johny

Yeah i would sign for a 1-2 for sure. I really dont know what to think to be honest. Im a huge fan so im hoping for a 0-3 at least anyway Very Happy

If they can keep their form again tonight im pretty sure we can beat them. Such a shame that Veltman and Boilessen are not available though.

I'm so happy with Frank de Boer and his crew, they really are doing the unthinkable at the moment. Especially if you look at all the players we lost the last years while we didnt get any quality improvements on top. All players that are tied for years again. Maybe the unthinkable is possible in the coming years? At least in the meantime we can be proud to see the true Ajax style again in Europe.

I feel bad cause ixi loves Juve, but damn drogba passed that one so well.

I love when outsiders go through, but still feel bad for Juve, especially since Pirlo is probably not gonna be there next year.

And you know once the italians pass the group stage, their chances rise by 200%. Smile

I completely agree with you. Frank de Boer is the best coach we can wish for at the moment. Remember his very first match as coach also against milan? I hope the same thing will happen tonight again Smile But yeah it is amazing how we lose all our important players every year and still he manages to make a great team out of it again and again. I think the most important for us right now is to be able to keep our important players for longer now. When we can keep this group for 3-4 years combined with some new players here and there, we can have an amazing team in the future Smile

Ajax had the better chances but i think most of them were before the red card. Sad
They are playing to nervous, hope de Boer can change some things in half time.

milan are bitter that they're a mid table club who won't even qualify next season

don't worry about them. they won't be in the champions league for a long time to come whilst allegri is in power.

I'm sorry for you guys.. Milan and their absolutely terrible catenaccio..every single year they play like this and somehow luck is always on their side Sad

As for Juve, better draw a veil over that. I'm still trying to remove the cursed match from my memory Okay Mad. Though it's also our fault since we didn't manage to win against them in Turin (not to mention that initial draw against Copenaghen), a real shame. Oh well, at least there's the Europa League as a consolation prize Crying or Very sad Laughing (which I totally predicted back then Razz )

Well let us meet in the EL final: Ajax - Juventus: 2-1 Very Happy

Personally I feel bad for the players and the team, they deserved to get through..(12 points and not qualified, it's a first) but not certainly for the supporters and their cocky president. Razz

Yeah that penalty was ridiculous and turned out to be decisive. Le fu..
As for the final I hope so, it would be nice to see the two teams encounter again after all this time^^
Although I don't think Juve will be able to reach the final, somehow we play like bosses in Italy but when it comes to showing skills in Europe, we panic Laughing

Damn, I'm an AC Milan fan and even I wanted them to loose... The team is shit, the football they play is shit as well and not even fun to watch... I hope Silvio decides to sell his share and someone like Thohir comes along, someone who is actually prepared to invest some money in the club.

Sadly I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Owning AC Milan is way too important for him politically speaking (even though he's been officially kicked out of the parliament Laughing). It's free consensus after all, despite the poor results lately. The recent Galliani drama (he resigned and Berlusconi forced him to stay giving him extra money) is one of the proofs that confirm this. Razz MrB wants to go on until he dies xD
