what i really love with chiv's movie scores, is the long and well written (that's sarcasm Smile ) comments, at which once you're done reading, you forgot what movie it was about Smile

Elysium - 6/10

A visually impressive but not as smart as it thinks it is high vs low tech movie that goes completely insane in the last 20? minutes. Random action scenes, random deaths, random editing, random sentimental scenes, random everything. Fuck off Laughing

Eh, what the hell, at least the Red Epic footage on Elysium blew my eyes out of my sockets with its clarity. Drooling

In time did it better.

Vfx are nice. Story is too cliche for sci-fi

Machete Kills - 6/10
Enjoyed but it was less coherent than the previous one. First half was just a wacked together camp scenes with Machete. The second part was much better and Mel Gibson was awesome.

Storage 24 - 4.5/10
I think chiv should watch it as he takes delight in crappy horror/scifi flicks (don't mistake it for B-horror movies made campy). It had some of the stupidest monster, rocket puppy toy that exploded like grenade and blonde Laura Haddock Me Gusta Also pretty neat last scene.

Maniac - 5.5/10
Well that was one disturbing movie starring Eljah Wood. Fuck me, there wasn't much violence but it was really sick. Nice atmosphere and music but the motive for main antagonist was such a cliche and the ending was really bad. It was suppose to be fitting I think but they overdid the gore and as for the whole length of the movie I felt really uncomfortable the ending made me laugh, it was so bad.

Riddick (teeny tiny spoiler near the bottom)

Let me start by saying I am DEFINITELY looking forward to that bluray alternate ending, because the theatrical one felt incredibly abrupt and rushed...

So... How do I rate thee, riddick?

First of all, it was not better than pitch black, which I still think is miles ahead the best movie - even outside of the franchise, it's magnificent piece of sci-fi, I love it.

So... Is it better than chronicles? I'm going to say no. I'm one of the people who enjoyed chronicles quite a lot... It was an insanely fun action epic, not without it's problems, but it was varied enough that it felt satisfying to me with its diverse set pieces, fun effects, characters and action choreography.

So, did I LIKE riddick? Yup! I adored him and his dog, and I was rarely bored... But, this is mostly a retread of the first film, EXCEPT without the interesting characters, or any sense of journey or development... And I think worst of all, while a cool IDEA for the monster terror unleashing "REPEAT" like in the first film (instead of darkness allowing them to return, the rains awaken them), I felt it was lessened a bit by the monsters having already been revealed - and beaten - by riddick at the beginning of the film.

So yeah, fun film, enjoyed it, but weaker than chronicles.

Let's give it a 6.5/10

The Internship

4/10

Barely laughed at all at this one, actually played a game of scrabble during it cause it was pretty boring. Owen and Vince seem to have lost it Sad I really didn't enjoy this film at all. Had like one laugh Sad

We're The Millers

6.5/10

Being a fan of Jason Sudeikis I really enjoyed this one, granted it's not the best comedy I've ever watched. Had some good laughs, enjoyed all of the actors, and definitely enjoyed Jennifer Aniston dance scenes.... can't believe she is 44.... looks great for her age.

It was not a bad sci fi to watch. I loved the droids and the techy stuff.. On the other hand i hated the bearded guy's accent.. blah
