Last nites episode was pretty good.

But Im really curious as to whats gunna happen if they dont keep pushing that number sequence into the computer? Im torn between the fact that its all something to do with a study in mind control, thats what i was thinking the whole time when they were viewing the orientation tape. On the other hand, if the site is on a source of electro-magnetic energy, it could be preventing some kinda paranormal event from happening or something paranormal for sure.
Cause it seems to me the "Others" are like a tribal ppl who are solely there to guard the island because something is on that island that is a threat to humanity.
And because desmond kept asking if ppl were sick and shit, I think they may tie some biblical type of angle into this. There are several stations around the world supposedly right. What if they all contain 1 of the 7 deadly plagues described by the bible or armageddon things and such.

But, sadly, I dont think we are gunna find out what happens if they dont push the button until next season - i could so see them doing something stupid (but good for ratings) like that.

And see, I think it is something paranormal. Cuz the others who look like tribal ppl, need little boys. There's an high levels of electromagnetic energy (which ive read, indicates somekinda spiritual phenomenon) and a group of scientists were involved. The reason i think that is important is because maybe they unleashed some kinda spiritual entity when they had that "accident" and then found a way to contain it, but the catch is whatever it is that has to be done, requires the number squence to be enter every 108 minutes...

Hmm, very interesting tho

last episode was boring, again , almost nothing new, barely explained what desmond is all about, he told nothing of the fella he met here.
whole episode was basically nothing, im gettin tired of this.

I liked this episode. Only problem is that every release out there is out of sync. TCM sucks big time. I hope LOL or TV propers it.

I thought it was pretty good too, liked the orientation video that had brief snippets of the polar bears in it presumably the ones that were on the island at the start. Plus it was something of a shocker when Michelle Rodriguez's character turned out to be one of the "Others".

The only thing that im starting to find questionable is the flashbacks, some of them seem pointless to me. The whole first season had enough flashbacks to give a good idea of each characters background, everytime a flashback comes up its like there retreading old ground in my opinion.

Still a great series though, can't wait for next weeks episode. Very Happy

The flashbacks are all relevant to the stories in the present. You're obviously not following them closely enough.

Personally I didn't like this episode at all. I could have guessed EVERYTHING. and in fact, did guess everything from the previous episodes. Nothing was revealed. This is the shittiest episode by far unfortunately. Not bad, but in comparison shitty.

Nah, I wouldn't go as far as that. Theres alot I don't get about the program and thats part of the appeal of the show, but I can see the relevance to the current stories for the characters involved that said the flashbacks didn't seem as powerful as they were in the first season. For me theres none of the shock or intrigue that there was when you found out Locke couldn't even walk, or the story behind Sawyer or Kate or Sayid, plus the way they linked other characters through those flashbacks to the other characters on the island.

Watching flashbacks of Michaels battle with his wife for custody of his kid although as you say relevant just isn't something that I find interesting and although im a little hazy on the first season I thought it was something that was covered in enough detail back then hence why I said it fealt like they were retreading old ground.

Just opinions though, clearly everbody has their own expectations of how they want this show to turn out you more so than anyone judging by your previous post Ispep. Its easy to forget that its only 3 episodes into the second season.

"the others" are in fact the survivors from the rear part of the plane. Jin is one of them Wink

The third one (orientation) was mostly dull. Apart from some new character introductions, this ep featured some REALLY bad story choices (with regards to the whole "hatch" situation and Desmond) and a pointless flashback. They could at least get to Locke's accident for crying out loud! Leap of faith my *ss...
It worries me to say this but I liked the second ep a whole lot better.

That's interesting. Very Happy I love how they always give clues to stuff in the show.

Me too, just wish they would give some info about them once in a while.

One thing I'm very disapointed about in the second season is that there have been almost no focus on any other character than John, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Michael and Jin and just a wee bit of Sahid and Hurley.
From the preview of next episode, this seems to change though.

EDIT - I liked last nite/tonites episode....wasnt that bad, wasnt all that great either.
And man, that broad from SWAT, Michelle Rodriquez, man....she needs a good clap in the head...she always plays some tough girl, but u can tell she is soft irl, such a front
Still, she's hot so I guess i can deal with her bad acting

About last nights episode : Wouldn't the food be WAY over its expiring date? It was a decent episode. I liked Sawyer's remark on Rodriguez' character : What are you going to do? Beam us up? Razz

Slooooow start to this season. It's kind of losing it's appeal as the focus is becoming less and less apparent.

Probably to the end of the season. I read somewhere that they said that season 2's finale will put everyone's lives in danger.
