CPU Architectures, media formats, clock speeds, resolution, extra features... it's all bullshit. The games are what make or break a console.
I'm traditionally a PC gamer, but I got myself a 360 to play the games that just didn't exist on PC (or that came out years later, see: Alan Wake, Castlevania LoS, etc...). Pure and simple. A pc can have all the cpu cores and ram and resolutionzz and parallel gfx cards up the arse, but if the games you want to play are not available on the platform all that power is a useless waste of cash.

completely agreed. many people buying consoles already have gaming rigs. it's always funny when someone tries to tell me PC gaming advantages. i know all of that because *gasp* I've been playing pc games my whole life AND i've been playing console games my whole life.

With these new consoles there aren't many exclusives worth giving a shit about. The only system that offers true exclusives (Meaning, the game will never come to PC or any other system) is the Wii U. So if you want that Zelda/DK/Mario experience you've got to own it.

Only game that looks slightly interesting to me that is an exclusive is Ryse. It ain't scoring to hot though. Rest of the games that are even scoring decent on Metacritic aren't even exclusives as it is.

Meanwhile, Super Mario 3D World is easily on it's way to becoming GOTY.

If you don't have the cash for a decent PC - Then yes, I'm not going to bash the consoles. If you've already got a decent PC though you'd be wasting your money on both the new Playstation and Xbox.

While I don't really approve of remy's subsequent replies, his initial post was simply stating the fact that streaming stuff on twitch was available on PCs for a long time and that having streams with morally questionable content is not something that suddenly became an issue with the consoles' arrival.

It was cyclone who somehow initiated the whole PC master race debate out of this Razz

What the 'master race' is forgetting or perhaps doesn't even know, is that gaming started on the consoles. I've been playing games from the very first pong machine my dad brought back from the USA in the early 70's. I have an open mind to games and i have probably owned and enjoyed every console and home computer there has been, i currently have a high end pc also that i enjoy playing games on.

So with that in mind consoles are the master race. Very Happy

The true derps are the muppets who use this and believe it PC Master Race

That's why I haven't bought a ps4 or xbone yet. Since the architecture is similar there may be more pc ports this generation, so I'll wait a couple of years and see what the situation is like.

But saying "there are no decent exclusives" based on the 4-5 launch titles available at day one is just Laughing .

But I also have to agree that you resort to insults rather easily when faced with any kind of confrontation. What's even funnier is that you always end up playing the victim card in the end and then bail on the entire argument thinking yourself a winner Very Happy

I couldnt find a Xbox One hacking thread but looks like xbox one is on the move.Multiple Hacking teams tweeting pics of the drives being manupulated and the TX Team put this on there news feed


From the label we can see it is clearly still a Lite-On drive, this time around of course it is BD-ROM and model number DG-6M1S and currently at firmware v3253 on h/w 070D and made in Oct. 2013.

But from the next picture we can clearly see that main IC is no longer a mediatek silicon, but a Microsoft stamped die with its own part number, along with a TI driver chip for laser with nice big cable:



But all is not lost, as we got this good news and another picture to share from TX:

"The X-Ray machine has been deployed. Now to put the acid gloves on."

its not really my problem when some fanboys/kiddies react that way. Zeel wrote about idiots using ps4 streaming, i wrote that idiots were already streaming on pc all sorts of crap for years. Point was that (streaming) its not really an issue, few of them will learn how the stream works the hard way (ie that wow guy with his girlfriend). And when some clown interprets those words as me pointing out that consoles are outdated technology/software wise, thats just beyond stupid. Obviously Werelds is my fan now, as he fallows me on every thread to write some crap, and sabin in his usual 30posts per day style just jumps on the bandwagon without a single thought, but whatever really.
