SG really seems to go down hard with the current mods. Just saw this in another big Steam group (Airborne Gamers) that made a public giveaway for CoD Ghosts:
"Since SteamGifts removed the COD Ghosts Giveaway we were running because "Reason: Advertising" Really? So...."

Airborne Gamers have given away plenty of high-profile games and never had trouble before, not to mention DEVELOPERS have given away multiple copies of THEIR games in order to draw advertise the game being on Greenlight or on sale. The staff are just turning into power-tripping nazi scumbag fucksticks.

Are these mods retarded? What the hell is wrong with a bit of advertising for your site if you're giving away a top game (depending on your opinion lol) which in turn makes their site better. So now they want people to make less give aways. Fucking retards.
Priority's of SG's mods
#1 - Make people hate you
#2 - Make people give away less games
#3 - Destroy the site

Airborne gamers have never had ref links, though lately they have been posting about "Elite" group access where they post even more giveaway, though it requires a donation to be invited to. Perhaps it's that? Either way, it's no worse than developers posting advertising links to their Greenlight or sales page for their latest game.
