Yeah it is, here's a list of compatible mods.

You can use the "Dungeon-be-gone" one.

SimDing0's Questpack isn't in the list Sad

Any word on the extra content, by the way? Is it worth it?

I actually went through the dungeon, I didnt even think dungeon-be-gone would work.

There was so much stuff I completely forgot existed in there, it was kind of refreshing.

I think it's important to play through that setpiece dungeon so that you can customize and learn your party before you get dropped in Athkatla and get 20 new quests per 5 meters

Unless people are playing through BG2 4 times a year since it came out, then idk Laughing

Well it certainly is much more fun, as part 2 is pretty much a direct sequel to the story of the first one.
The main things will get told again if you haven't played part 1. But it always is nice to see references in a game from it's previous story/characters

But if it's a question of time, just play BG2, as it's better in pretty every regard Very Happy

How do you have the patience to play the rest of the game then?

Lol, Dungeon-Be-Gone fawe (you get xp and items) Add "quicker dreams" from BG Tweak Oack and you get rid of those most irritating parts.

Use Mirrored Eye potion on your tank, or talk with the ghoul on the same map, he is immune to petrify.

"Protection from Petrification" is a 1st level Mage spell and almost every scroll merchant has it. Works perfectly against basilisk gaze.

Now those damn beholders in BG2, that's a doozy. Without the Shield of Balduran I'd have serious problems

A word of advice: do not play it at least until the game-breaking bugs are fixed. There are workarounds for them but it's a chore.

Look at the BG2:EE bugs section of the official forums, there are lots of problems. some major.

Up to chapter 3 it's ok, I finished all quests (including new NPC ones) without problems, but some people had a game breaking glitch with Aran Linvail/Bohdi main quests and had to use console commands. There are also problems later in the Underdark and who knows where else.

I'll finish it because I have to Laughing, but it might not be pretty.

Completely different game but that's what always frustrated me about the Fallout Restoration Project. There were always these fucking bugs that would pop up. That's fine, I can live with bugs especially when they fix them. What I couldn't live with was that when the bugs were fixed, they weren't retroactively fixed in your game usually. Most of the time you had to revert to a save that was prior to the bug occurring. Otherwise you had to either a) live with it or b) restart. After having to restart a second and third time, I deleted it. Which was a shame because FRP is f'n awesome except for the bugs.

Anyway, long story short is, hopefully that's not the case with this game.

That review. Mind Is Full Of Fuck

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
