It turns out that there are some really stupid people on this world...
And I mean something like American stereotype stupid. It doesn't mean that the person is not intelligent, just fully ignorant beyond the universe it self...
And I get to date a girl just like that... Shit.
I understand that not everybody has to be into your interests, but when you have no idea what tiramisu is. But ok, maybe not everyone has to know that (even if around 99% of people in my country know that).
But when the girl has no clue what a damn steak is ("biftek" in my language for my fellow croats) I came to realize that trying to date girls you met online is a huge mistake I won't repeat. 
How can someone be so uninterested in anything?
So, she watches movies, but never really watched anything. Reads books, but again, never really read anything longer than some 150 pages. She can only make sandwiches (yeah, I know, that should be enough  - but come on...) She likes to play games, but had only played Skyrim in the last two years and never had read what it was really about. She went to Skyrim Wikia and read what she had to do in quests there because she didn't want to bother herself with what those people said ingame.
A breakup is imminent because I have no clue on how much more of a "cow-gaze" I'll be capable of seeing each time I say something more complicated than a "ham-sandwich".
Why, oh why are some people that disinterested in everything???

Yeah.
I do shitloads of cooking and eat loads of food from all over the world, I just couldnt place it.
But its cool I didnt want to date MapHtH anyway.

It's not just online dating, it's people in general. Please don't act so surprised. If you talk to a decent amount of people you're bound to find someone worth talking to.

I also heard about tiramisu like two months ago.
Then again, I don't give a shit about cakes.
But yeah, I'm also dissapointed with today's girls, they are clueless beyond my comprehension. They have no hobbies, no real interests except dick and how to get married so they don't have to work, and they actually believe every shit they hear on media.

Move on till you find something to your liking and be prepared because there are a lot of people whom lack substance out there!
Tho don't nitpick on small things like Tirasmisu, I can easily understand that people out there don't know it... It's a dessert keep some perspective  I'd say the indifference is reason enough to break off.
But an advise for the future: when you know it's not working out... Don't prolong it, it's not fair for the both of you.

It's not just the tiramisu or a steak, but that the more I talk with her I get "Oh, I don't know what that means/is".
I wouldn't break up over a tiramisu either, but if you find out a person has no real interests, then I'd start looking for someone better.
And then I embarrass myself with my friends when I start describing mundane things and they go "I know how a solar calculator works" or something like that.

I guess I am lucky, I did all my dating before a lot of this shit and found a good wife 
She's now locked up in the basement so she cant leave.

Ive been doing the online thing to. And you are very right. OMG, sure your cute, but why so stupid. lol
I went through about 5 before i met a really amazing girl online. She is smart, funny, fun, and a minx behind closed doors.
I would say ditch this one, and move on to the next. Why waste your time an emotions, and you may miss out on someone who is great.

online dating isn't bad. it's easier than going to bars and striking out day in day out. you exchange a few emails talking about each other and getting to know them. if you rush it... then that's what you get. a hey you're cute lets go out. ok. let's have fun! yay.
one bad story... lol.
also... there are some very sheltered people online... some may not know a lot of things.

Online dating is convenient but can be fucked up. First of all, a lot of creeps give false pictures, and when you meet them it's kind of a shock, plus we are all different online and live. You can seem like a great person online, but be a total douche in person.
So it's a gamble

Thank god I got all my dating out of the way in the early 90's before internet...So much easier.
See someone you want to talk to in person, after 5 minutes can think "your a bit dim aren't you?" and move on.
No wasting day on trying to schedule a time, waste time going out on a date to meet them, stuck on that date for hours..just to find out you cant stand them the first time you meet them in person.
PLUS the added bonus of no cell phones or such, to have to worry about dating someone that wants to spend 3/4 of the date texting people and posting facebook/twitter updates about thier night out...lol
