Yeah i had the same thing, used ComboFix and it removed that browser malware garbage.

So, what settings you lot are using?
I'm mostly interested in aa/shadows/ambient occlusion.
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

the ACBF.exe is the problem, you only need the ubidll and the original exe.
i don't think it worked on me the virus(as i'm still using the browser) as it stopped working i have only ubidll in exceptions in ESET.
and for those who get the chinese menu language you can change it from the registry (search for black flag), just erase what it is and put english and in SKU i put USA ( FUCKYEAH  )

1920x1200, FXAA, shadows Very High, enviroment Very High, texture High, HBAO+(High), god rays High, Vsync off, volumetric fog Off, Reflection High, Motion Blur off
Sapphire 7870+i5 2500k
The game runs fine, I dont really know exactly how many FPS do I have, but I dont care if the game is playable.

Yeah thats what Im using now, original exe+dll from v4 (dont know about previous ones) and it works fine.
And the exe edits the HOSTS file, so its pretty easy to change it back and delete the file

Finally tried the game, the combo 'IAA's 10GB version (SP only) + Crack V4 fixed' seems to work, but I'm still at the beginning so anything could happen later on. 
The performance is obviously very bad, terrible even, despite the visuals which are nowhere as good as expected. Like it's been said already, this is definitely not a 'next-gen game' in terms of graphical candy: models, textures and lighting are practically the same as AC3, the only improvements are the better (uber-heavy HBAO+), the Detailed Environments thingy that eats 20fps alone with volumetric effects (pretty heavy too), and the better sea of course. All these "features" basically transform the game into a nearly unplayable mess, which is simply ridiculous. Whoever coded this game clearly doesn't know jack about optimization, but there's no suprise here.
My 2500k @4.3/8GB/GTX570 (not a beast, but somewhat ok) manages to reach the 30fps at 1080p/Max details/FXAA, which I believe it's the same performance as the PS4 version, bad, but kinda reassuring when you think about it  It's like wearing the peasant pants for one day

The washed-out visuals need some SweetFX imo, I think the result is definitely better:

Havana - 40-60 fps (roaming, pursuit, fighting)
PS 3770k, 16gb, ssd, titan, nothing is OCed
PS these black borders are killing me

Fairly decent comparison between the major consoles - Xbox One excluded for some reason, no PC either. Seems like it's PS4>WiiU>PS3/360 -- both PS360 are fairly equal, 360 is sharper but PS3 has better AO/shadows. |
Thanks for the feedback, ixi  It really is a very poorly optimised game, but oh well.. what else is new? At least you can play it on par with the "NextGen" PS4 version ^_^ |
Haha yep! I'll have to remove some nextgen effects though, since I'm not used to 30fps anymore  ..not even if enable motion blur! *does the KC dance*
Still, quite hilarious to see that a three year old PC performs like a PS4 . Jokes aside, thanks for the video, it's well made and confirms what I imagined.

Watch Dogs mosdef, but I haven't seen that much, just barely to form an opinion. I haven't caught even a glimpse of this, though, was keeping my hopes high it would be better than AC3, seems I was wrong. But, if naval action is good, I'll probably keep playing, I kind of need a break from BF4, for a day or two.

Watch Dogs "looks" very good so far. But, tbh, I am worried that the whole city will feel (just like in Mafia II) kinda empty without having extra activities except side-missions (not sure about these either).
