The most recent patch also kind of broke the game. The payout system is now bugged and doesn't do the multipliers correctly so you are only getting a fraction of what you should be. The lack of heists is also pretty sad. There is only ONE bank. Just one. It kills me. They did just release a new map in the last patch, a diamond store, which is okay but nothing great. This could be a much better game if it had more content.
Game has pretty expensive silencers, costs only like half million to put good one to your gun, if you take it off, you need later on pay again Also its fun to get 1 million to offshore account, then you get like 2 dollars spending cash . They should really think again the prices.
Advice needed, guys. So I'm late to the party - bought the game on day1 but never got time to try it. That's what I wanna do now but I'm worried that everyone will be lvl50 or whatever the system is in this game and I'll be a noob that doesn't even know where to go or what to do.
So what should I do? Play some rounds with bots or there's an automatic ranking system that puts noobs together and lets them explore and learn?
I'd say avoid the offline completely, because it's really useless since the bots are something unbelievably stupid.
Just head to Crime.net, and search for the missions with a low number of dots below the heist name, they're the easier ones (but also the one with the lowest pay), and until you level up, you'll be restricted to only a few available heists.
Once you're in the game, it's all quite easy, just follow your teammates, help them out by killing them cops and meanwhile observe the layout of the maps/objectives. They're always the same (sort of), nothing too fancy except for the more difficult maps. After a couple of heists you'll already have a much better picture of what the game is all about.
Thanks
Actually I tried 1 heist before posting but even the lvl1-2 guys I was with knew what to do and yelled at me when I shot someone (turned out we had to stealth your way in) and ruined the mission
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

Yeah, going full stealth is basically a mission impossible since you need to have the right equipment + perks, you need to perfectly know the map and there are no margins of error. This is valid for all the 4 members, and as you can imagine there's always someone who ruins the party.
But sometimes it's not even the players' fault, very often happens that the AI manages to spot you even from behind a cover, psychic behaviours are not uncommon. It's quite fun when you manage to succeed though.
I still don't know why they chose that retarded crime.net mission selection system.
But it was a really clunky fucking move.
Thank Mr. "ex-DICE" David Goldfarb for that,he praises that system and you better like it,too or else!
I really like the changes for Overkill,it's as messy as it was in Payday:TH and you can't guarantee that you'll make it trough.Once the payout/xp bug is fixed it will be rewarding enough to keep trying. However, things like the random spread on AR's [kinda like in BF3 while supressed] or the abysmal hitboxes on enemies grind my gears.
In the end, this game will have the same flaw as P:TH had:not enough Heists to keep you entertained. They really should release a Tool to create your own but,as with P:TH,it won't happen.Sure, you wouldn't have any Bain-speeches other than the ones already in the game (or taken from part 1) but i'm sure that there are a lot of people who would build Heists that top anything shipped with Payday2.Others however would build trashy, very easy "le epic robbery xD" heists to stock up their ingame cash to the level where that counter can't display the number.
Would need a KillingFloor-type of whitelisting to secure some design-standards that aren't pure exploitfests.

Now, I don't know what hardware costs in Poland, I guess it's cheaper because everything is stolen from Germany and resold...
they can fuck off with that shit. I honestly don't see ANYTHING good about waiting an hour for a mission you actually want to play to pop up. I've played the frequently popped up missions waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many times and some missions only showed up once ever since I started playing the game. (biker mission, assault on high tech mansion..)

Try the Halloween update that hit Steam 2 hours ago.4 new Masks can drop (you get 1 for free on login),a new .45 pistol with a free lamp (wopidoo),new Archivements and a small Safehouse Nightmare heist
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
I'm seriously thinking of buying it, but I'm not 100% sure yet... I played the first and I really liked the coop aspect of it.
Well the second one is basically a more of the same, only with different heists and some new features. Some people liked the first one more though, either because of the better (more complex) levels or overall feeling.

I was addicted to the first one, I can't stand the second one.
But then again, some people are completely opposite, hated the first one like the new one.

So they are nothing alike it seems
Haha yeah, the opinions are so mixed that it's impossible to fully recommend this game. My experience with the Payday games is always the same: fun for some hours, then complete boredom. The best way as usual is to download the rls with the recent FTS updates and give it a try, that's what I did until I started getting tired of the deja-vu effect.
