got my old saves from steam\rld\20900

there is no Profile folder in X:\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\Binaries\Win32\

So...I tried starting the game and playing a bit hoping to create a new profile/profile folder to replace, turns out the FTS patch isn't saving for me. Tried it without a profile folder, and even created one and tried it, either way game won't save.

Run as administrator.

Or replace the steam_api.dll with another crack.

running as admin did the trick.

Thanks for the help!

Edit-patch still didn't fix the river bug like it said it did-fuck!

The outfit ones I linked to?
(There's nothing else available at the moment.)

Yeah they work with the legit game (As my screenshot shows.) but with one snag in that you have to own the season pass.
(I don't think it will work otherwise since Steam won't load the DLC without the player actually owning it legitimately.)

If they do release other DLC it's possible that those can be used to unlock the costumes as well, if they do add a DLC folder and the necessary ini file.

Unsure if you can use a file from the normal game but I don't think it will work.

I guess whatever unlocks the DLC is bypassed in the steam_api.dll of pirate version and that's the reason it won't work on legit? Is this generally the case with DLC and legit versions?
It kinda sucks, you get a cheap key or buy the game for 15$ in a sale and then you notice that to get the "full experience" you also need to buy the DLC/Season Pass, usually another 20-50 bucks. Laughing

Btw. there should be more than just skins, also 4 DLC Challenge Maps can be unlocked - 100 to 1, No Money Down, Lot Full and Hidden Facility
All areas from the main game so as usual its content that has been deliberately removed before release. Rolling Eyes

Ah I didn't know about the challenge maps, interesting.
(I wonder if there's a way to unlock those then.)

The ini file for the season pass had a few skins defined already so people simply expanded upon this with all the other skins and luckily enough the game accepted this without throwing a error and unlocked the additional content.

It is possible that the developers will lock the ini file now like with some of the others (Game.ini for example.) to prevent modifications now that this has been discovered.

And yeah with Steam the game sort-of checks your profile for ownership such as DLC and unlocks the appropriate content so usually with stuff already in the game there's no additional download, it just goes via Steam and your account.

And yes you need a cracked steam_api.dll file to bypass that content restriction but it can lead to your current profile (Which is working via the Steam API.) to not be available so you either have to start over or use a save someone else has posted whom also used the cracked version of the game. Smile
(If so taking a New Game+ save might be better, get access to the game with the ability to use custom skins in the campaign directly although many upgrades and such will be unlocked already.)

Just got around to installing the Reloaded version with the latest FTS patch since it seems most of the major bugs have been patched now but I noticed that I am getting a lot of static and cracking sound during the opening movies when I first start up the game. Just wondering if this is a Reloaded issue or something else with those opening movies. Makes me a little worried that the other ingame movies may end up doing the same thing so I am just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Same here. Interestingly I didn't have this problem with AC when it was released but I kinda do today. Not as bad as Origins but not smooth either.

I don't think I can finish the game, it has gotten too repetitive fighting 10+ unarmed idiots constantly. Constantly bashing them down, they're getting up AGAIN AND AGAIN OMG ...

Mob fighting devolves in constant counter attacks. And of course you can't finish them on the ground because that IDIOT Batman won't just stomp them, but prefers to take his sweetass time.

get 3x multiplier, then punch 4-5 guys, press A+B, rinse and repeat
is by far fastest way to get rid of enemies. every punched goon on the ground will be insta-killed with the Multi Ground Takedown
there is an upgrade that make combos work after 5x multiplier and one that gives you 2 special combo tokens to use in a row. also once you have the shock gloves the fights get to be a lot more fun.

I think you can crouch attack to knock them out when they are on the ground with those little stars swiveling above their heads but that's kinda tricky to do when you are attacked by a larger group of people.
(More so if they have stuff like heavily armored guards, venom users or martial artists.)

EDIT: Or just do the above. Smile

The finishing attack doesn't work most of the time..meaning Batman just wont do it. Probably another bug.

I had (have) a bug where the LT+Y finisher does not work whiile the Shock Gloves are activated. (unless its on the last remaining enemy of the group)
I noticed that whenever it happens the guy on the ground actually gets knocked out, it just does not play the animation.

If you get the combo counter high enough, fights finish very fast. If you wait for a counter everytime you fight a mob, it'll obviously take much longer. Be on the offensive and counter when needed, most fights will be over in less than a minute. I love the fighting in this game though, so it does not bother me when it gets repetitive. I think the action in every game gets repetitive, that's why I never play any action game day after day.

With more than 6 enemies, I have constantly have to counter so I lose the multiplier.

But that upgrade that changes 8x requirement to 5x sounds good. Gonna soldier through this for the story.

You just have to be fast enough I guess, I can take on 20 enemies without losing the combo counter. I'd advise enabling hint mode untill you get really good at fighting. Did you play the previous games or is this your first one?

Not if you wait for them to come to you.

The VA in this game is one of the best I have ever seen. Every major character does an excellent job. The game needed some time to get going, but it got going. It has everything AC had, but it looks better, the story is much better and production values seem higher to me (CGI scenes for example). I just fought Bane, I don't know how much I still got left, but this one is the best of the series for me. I'll be buying this one when it's affordable.

9/10

SO you are doing it wrong. If there is no one to counter, then attack. Just not spam attack, but 1x attack, wait for animation to be close to ending. Repeat. Win.

If you want fights to end even faster, unlock the special move that has Batman jump up in the air and throw batarangs at all enemies on the ground. Each batarang is an instant knockout. You can take around 5 enemies (not sure if there's a limit) out of the fight in an instant.

Challenge maps or possibly MP.

Every main and sidequest + all collectibles + all dark knight challenges bar one got me only to 49%

I find the fights so enjoyable (especially on Hard) that many times I choose not to use those special moves Smile

It seems to count replaying the game on new game plus as part of that percentage as well.

There's an option on the main menu that lets you see your progress, and new game plus has a column.
