I know this movie's old, and there's probably a dozen threads on it by now, but still... this is the fifth time I'm watching this (which I've only done to a handful of films), and this is the only movie to ever make me cry. Great film. I'm not usually a fan of Tom Cruise, but this is his fucking masterpiece. |

Very, very good movie. I am a sucker for Michael Mann's films. There are so many small details in this movie that I love. Like the way Cruise pauses and looks at the jazz dude after he has killed him. great movie, great acting.

If you think this is good acting by Tom Cruise you don't know what you're talking about. This acting by Tom Cruise IS Tom Cruise. It's the same character he plays all the time. I don't dislike him as some do, but even I can see that.
The film is good, I liked the party shootout and the beginning of the film with Jamie Foxx and Will Smiths wife was good.

I loved this move too. Damn, i still got it. I have to watch it again soon.

I liked the movie, but i dislike tom cruise...the only movie i think he does a good job in, is interview with a vampire. Why? because he comes across as a lil queer and feminine in Interview with a Vampire, and thats how he comes across in real life...not to mention is Scientology bullshit which is a BIG con in my books - not to mention a character flaw.
I dunno, when he first started out he got by on his boyish looks that appealed to women...I dont know how he still gets acting jobs now...
