Uhm, those sure are. But what about the crashes where only half the people are disconnected/crash (whatever)? We're getting those very often with our Squad. Most people crash, some can still play. So, well, could be either, client or serverside.

It was fine when BF4 came out, yet since the latest server patch it is shit

Uhm, those sure are. But what about the crashes where only half the people are disconnected/crash (whatever)? We're getting those very often with our Squad. Most people crash, some can still play. So, well, could be either, client or serverside.
If multiple people crash at the exact same time while they're on the same server, the primary common denominator is that server. Something the server sent to the client caused it to crash; the reason it's limited to only a partial group of people is something else that's common between them: a driver, a Windows update (or version). That's not a pure client-side fix most likely.
While crashes might be server-side... i'm not so sure about the freezes. Not system freezes, just game freezes.
And it's not OC related, since i tried without it as well. And some of my friends are having same issues. It's not that common .. just happens sometimes.

The freezes are actually the most common for us and are the crashes I'm referring too.
They remind me of the early days of the Source engine. When certain things happened where the physics were involved and froze/CTD the games.
Could it actually be possible that there are some kind of de-sync problems with the destruction involved on the maps and the clients crash when they differ from the data the server has? (No, not those Levolution events. Small things, like simple walls.)

Managing to run the game on win8.1 at 60fps fixed at 4x all high at the moment... was getting dips to the 40s before on win7
so 8 does seem to offer better performance.
Mind you only thing i installed was the latest nvidia drivers... didnt install chipset drivers etc as almost everything was already installed.... you reckon chipset drivers and things can boost up performance even more allowing more ultra stuff??

That and the fact that EA does not give a single fuck about PC quality at launch, it can always be fixed later whereas PS and Xbox versions need to be certified by MS/Sony. Guy at work worked on BF3 for PC, the stuff he told me made me actually thankful about Ubisoft's PC policies (they are completely different, although launch problems still exist, they are not as severe as EA's games).
And that discussion from 4chan might be fake seeing as how the game was tested in Bucharest and DICE has a really small QA team.

Bullshit. The crashes and sound loop freezes are alsp present on consoles. They play the same version we do. So it's a not "oh who cares about pc" thing.
Especially not for a game like Battlefield, which outsells on pc vs consoles.

Why I should be quiet? Go and buy expensive car just to notice that you can't drive it properly. Doors are not opening, and when they opens engine doesnt start. And so on and so forth... Car looks amazing and is all bling bling! but you can't even driver around your house.
So you go to the guys that sold you that junk and he says: sorry we will fix it ( eventually ) but you have to wait, becouse our company was releasing 2 models of the car in the same time and they didn't have time to test it.
So... you sit quiet and wait? Or you have demands and you are angry?
Oh... and when you on internetz say that you are pissed off some guy says "to not be hate machine and to be quiet and try to fix it" becouse "he would do the same".
I paid for it. I didn't pay for alpha version or beta... (thou beta was working ok'ish for me) I want full product.. right now I can put my box infront of me and I can watch it, read labels, touch dvds , becouse I can't play... and I bought it (what maybe strange to you) to play...

Why do people always compare a 50$ game with a car? Take a toaster or something. If it doesn't work you either wait for it being repaired and make your toast another way(i.e play another game during that time). Of course I would be pissed if my car wasn't working, but that's just another dimension of money you are spending. Also you would test a car yourself before buying it and read lots of review/ask friends etc.
BUT all that's not available for a game, isn't it? NAH, people just follow the hype and buy the fucking game nonetheless, probably with something like "if it doesn't work I can rant on the internet." on their mind. Problems were known, you had to really ignore it not to see them, even without access to the beta. Still it's a shame to release a game in this state.
All I wanted to say was that he's right with the "internet hate machine" thing and the false understanding of forum posts or whatever they officially release. That's why I would be very quiet, as a dev. Of course that's the wrong way, but most people are just to dumb for an open communication, because they simply don't understand how things work "behind the scenes".
Is it me or is that thing overpowered? Doesn't seem to require any skills like the M136 AT4 did back in BC2.
Nevermind. I just noticed that video showed only relatively easy shots (close distance as well). This video shows some much harder shots and confirms that skill is needed, very similarly to how it was with the AT4 in BC2:

If my toaster doesnt work I am angry also and I have demands... Toaster I can give back to shop. I can't give back BF4, becouse it is attached to my Origin Account and I don't want to sell it. I can't get refound from shop, becouse they just sell it and I should contact publisher. Publisher doesn't want to talk to me, becouse they didn't sell me anything.
So... I am in much worse situation. Becouse:
- can't sell,
- can't get refund,
- can't play.
So why not be a part of the hate machine?

there is still a lot of rubberbanding with helis and getting hit
I don't know what, but at least 1 thing that hits my heli at the side, makes it go inverted without killing it..
and when you're close to the ground it's as good as dead.. hits the ground and is no longer able to go back up even if repaired

I totally understand, but it's not that hard to get some information before buying a game, which you really should consider IF the money is that hard earned. Think positive, I'm sure they fix the problems and you'll have fun with the game (sometime in the future ).
