Ok i'm upping 2 vids one on conq/1 on tdm to show you what i mean. I might be the luckiest guy and have to return my 780 this monday for a new one lol -_-
Gonna be done in like 5mins.

What about my other point: what you spend your time with in game? Are you fine with the actual shooting taking up only a smaller percentage? What about those chase sequences in other shooters, when either you or your enemy is hurt, and one tries to flee, the other pursue, and that could go on for even a minute long?
I am fine with that, because that is the whole point of the game
Like I said, you simply approach the game wrong. It isn't a shooter. Not in the same way that Quake/UT/HLDM were, or even a tactical FPS like CS. This has most in common with CS, but because of the sheer scale it couldn't possibly work the same. The main point of the game is warfare, it just happens to be set in modern times so we have guns; might as well have been swords, wouldn't change the basic principles. Of course there are some people who do think it's all about killing and they sit on a hill, sniping. Most of them are so shit that having even the slightest bit of skill is enough to counter snipe them...with an assault rifle.
As for whether people go for headshots: yes, they do. Simply because then most of the time it is a guaranteed kill; what most don't do however, is tap fire. Bursting you see often enough, but 1-2 bullets at a time (with or without single mode; I use that a LOT )? Not so much.
I don't think you can say that the idea itself is conceptually wrong; it just isn't for you. I still wish we'd get a big game that brings TDM and CTF back in a big Q3-ish way, but I've come to accept the fact that that is unlikely to happen, since consoles will never be able to deal with such speeds on gamepads
No way were weapons harder to handle in CS btw
Colt, AUG, Famas, USP, Glock all had no real recoil. Deagle and AK did, but you got the crazy accuracy and power back for that. A SCAR-H in BF4 has more recoil than a Colt did
Also a bit of a shame you didn't play BF3; I am yet to unlock any weapon in BF4 I like as much as the AK-74 in BF3, which in turn felt *very* similar to my precious AK in CS
Ok so here we go. Is this normal? Did i fry my GPU (VRAM or whatever?)
TDM - takes 3-10 seconds to load textures/models etc. Thing is i haven't tried DM til tonight, so i might have not noticed the texture load on conquest since it's way faster. Maybe i'm just being paranoid.
Conquest - takes 2 seconds to load textures etc.
Idk why the difference, especially since TDM is smaller.

I saw this happen (only once though). Do you have the game on SSD or HDD?
SSD. As you can see though, in conquest mode it loads very fast.. it's only TDM/SDM that are extremely slow for some reason. Can this even happen from damaging your GPU? I mean i'm not seeing drops in performance or artifacts or anything...
Just this.
PS: on most maps i don't even notice it.. maybe it's just a few? I dont even know man.

Why would it be a sign of damaged graphics card when it only happens in TDM and not Conquest, lol. And even if it happened in both modes, it's no sign of GPU damage unless other artifacts/ glitches happen in other games.
Asset streaming. I don't think there's a prob with your card, mate. Though, to be sure, do some stress testing on it.
Kay well fuck it, i'm probably just paranoid since i just bought the card and OCd it, but i got 3 years warranty so if it burns, monday im getting a new one.
So, has DICE said anything about the reload "bug"?
Is it a bug or a feature, I'd like to know if I should prepare myself and adapt or is this just temporary.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
I have a technical question for knowledgeable guys in these matters like Werelds, or also JBeckman (or anybody else capable of answering). It's something that I've been looking to understand how it works exactly for some time but I always forget to post the question:
Why is it that when playing MP games with lots of people on the same map/server, if I face towards the general area where the action is happening my CPU starts having usage spikes and my general performance degrades? and this is happening even though I'm not really seeing any of the action, no soldiers, no vehicles, no explosions, I'm just looking in the direction where they supposedly are, but there are buldings, hills or whatever completely obstructing the line of sight. However, if I just turn around 180 degrees, standing on the same spot, so I start facing in the opposite direcion of the action, then performance goes up again, high GPU usage, etc.
I understand that when facing the action the CPU is getting taxed, but why is it getting taxed? Considering the game isn't showing me any of that aciton on my display. What would be the exact technical explanation of this?
Heheheh, well I seriously rather have this update than spend the weekend with those occasionally rubberbanding occurences and especially those awful audio problems. They have to take those risks!
