guys
if you are get problems with 77.72 drivers nvidia on media player watching movies do like this:
press desktopo properties
settings
geforce 6800gt
color correction
Apply color change to All from desktop
press okay
should work and media movies okay didnt try b2

How can I relocate installshield temp directory to other drive, i dont have enough space to install the patch on my system drive, says the installer.
I relocated windows TEMP directories but it didnt help. :s

The new patch sounds great. Took them awhile but finally some good fixes. The chopper flag capture method was so unbalancing its about time they nerfed it.

Well, it seems EA can't fix stuff without breaking more! There are servers that each time you kill you go rank up, so you prolly gonna see many players with top ranks.

Read the patch notes. It's not broken. They lowered the scores you need for ranks. The next time you score a point if your total score is higher than the next rank you need you gain that rank. This happens a few times over and over until you have reached the point where your points isnt high enough to gain the next rank. I guess they realized the old system took way too many points.

Damn my game crashes after loading the map where it comes to the "verifying client" and it hops out of the game, no warning, no error just whoops and i'm out...
And i bought the game.
Thought about reinstalling the shit to see if that might work

God damn tittin nonsense. I spent like 5 hours browsing various forums and googling. I mean I had 4GB partition for windows for like 2 years now and never had any problems with patching and installing before, so WTF.

To install the patch:
1. Start the patch program
2. Select your language
3. At the "welcome-screen", do not proceed!.
4. Keep the patch-window open and go to your start menu, select "run".
5. Write %temp%
6. Enter the folder {alot-of-digits-and-letters} and proceed to a a folder with a similar name. For example:
{03A9E526-2B99-4AF2-BC50-D26A2CFB516D}\{F317E784-F31C-4F26-A610-2D7BD89FEC5F},
7. Locate the 13 patch files, they are
BF2CDKeyCheck.exe
default.pal
dir.txt
FontData.ini
isrt.dll
license.rtf
patch.exe
PATCH.RTD
PATCH.RTP
patchw32.dll
setup.inx
StringTable-0009-English.ips
_IsRes.dll
8. Copy all the files into to your BF2 game folder.
9. Run the Patch.Exe you just copied into your game folder.
This should show a list of the files being patched (Warnings seem to be OK)
If you get a "CD key" error:
1. Start the patch program again (no this is not a reinstall - keep reading)
2. Select your language

Nope. But I managed to free up enough space on C: by deleting hiberfil.sys

Willing to Trade a BF:1942 and BF:V CDKeys (Valid! ) for only one BF2 working online CDKEY.
I know it sounds weired,but its good for the ppls who have a computer that cant really run bf2 with all its glory...

ok I just got bf2 again and installed it and patched it to 1.03 (i have a valid serial) ....... should I just uninstall and leave it at 1.00 (or w/e it is) or are there any hacks / tweaks / whatever flyin abt?

Anyone know why the fuck ranks aren't updating? I've come back, and with this new patch, a score of 2500 should bring you to sergeant.. and ive got 2554.. and my progress to next rank is at 0.. Wtf?

yes the progress bar is for some reason fucked in 1.3 it never progresses.
I would try log in and out a few times in the game on your account and then enter a server kill a few guys and after the round log out again and then login it should update.
