Game is great on ps3, looks like upscaled 480p, with the framerate dipping below 30 fps often. Some visceral dog action in here, L2 is the new awesome button, stealthily biting off the dicks of a whole squad without anyone noticing. Also infinite remote snipers, ie. godmode, spread out over a whole level, in case not dying ever still makes the game too tough for you. Another great thing is the super freedom, resulting in a game over as soon as your leading waypoint character is more than 3 meters away from you. This gives you the freedom and/or excuse for sticking very close to his ass without having to leave the closet or justify your mantasies. Btw, did you like the movie gravity? Thats great! Now you can play an improved version of the movie in the game's first level - gravity with guns! Man i really hope nothing happens to that dog, he s so cool, nah... They wouldnt do anything to him for dramatic effect... Kewl dawg.
So yea, amazing game, made me completely forget about next-gen and at the same time reminded me to download some "komissar rex" porn.
I still don't understand why the XBOX ONE cannot play this game in 1080p ? Even my 7 years old PC can play MW3 in 1080p fully maxed and this one can't be needing much more ressources can it ?
Oh wait, I forgot, Fish AI............. that must be it !
I don't get it either - they are the exact same hardware except of course for the GDDR5 on the PS4 and the 54(?) mhz bump on the GPU of the xbone. Neither should make the difference between 1080p and 720p since both should do 1080 just fine.
Well i assume PS4 is still going OpenGL only while the the bone is the usual DX.
Anyways, i expected a more streamlined and balanced performance with both consoles using x86 architecture. I had such high hopes for PC ports being flawless now. But apparently its still a problem getting games to run at their best on different systems, even with identical architecture and hardware.

No. The PS4 has 50% more shaders and it has much wider GPGPU granularity. And the GDDR5 makes a huge difference. Using the eSRAM on the Xbox One is a pain in the ass because you can hardly fit anything in there. And there is no fallback for it, they should've at least have some dedicated GDDR for the GPU for all the other data that can't fit into the eSRAM.

Just curious for all the CoD fans (and haters?), at which point did you enter the CoD franchise and at which point did you feel like you lost interest?
I entered at the original and man, that shit was amazing at the time. The squad members actually did useful things and it felt great. They still had that invisible "line" that you crossed that made shit happen and they had that awful health bar but... it was so much better than Medal of Honor and it was amazing. The animations, the action scenes, the graphics...
I was blown away again at Modern Warfare and I have enjoyed 2 and 3. And as I said before, I am looking forward to Ghosts.
ive played and finished every CoD to date, i loved the first one but never really liked the Treyarch games until Black Ops which i actually enjoyed more than Modern Warfare 2. MW1 was groundbreaking, imho, with lots of cool storytelling elements (Atomic Bomb).
I think the biggest problem is that they wanted to outdo themself in the sequels by putting setpiece after setpiece after setpiece until it just got kinda boring. I still enjoyed MW2 and 3 but they were nothing special really.

What's your guys' stories?
Barring 2 titles (Call of Duty 2 & Call of Duty 3), I have played every other Call of Duty. The first one was raw, fresh & highly entertaining. That was a time when health regeneration was a distant possibility and med-packs were our friends.
I don't know why I missed out on Call of Duty 2, but I couldn't play 3 as it was a console exclusive and I hadn't invested in any next generation console back then. By the time I did, it was too late and quite frankly, too boring.
Then came Modern Warfare and this was a complete game changer for the franchise. I was astounded by the visual bump that it had received, voice acting and mission variety. Pretty much everything pulled me in and it felt glorious. Treyarch's World at War was average.
When Modern Warfare 2 was announced and I was dead excited, but after playing it, a sense of mediocrity kicked in. Black Ops came out and then things started going haywire. Modern Derpfare 3 turned out to be a sick joke. I liked Black Ops 2's storyline and admit that Raul Menendez is the most bad-ass antagonist in all the COD games combined.
Not really keen on playing Ghosts, but will play it anyway.
