No worries, it's my bad I should have stated it in the first post.

I've developed some basic apps in the past, therefore I would say yes. I'm a one man developer, mostly developed in my spare time (i also have a full-time shitty job) Smile

I will appreciate any feedback Very Happy

i played a bit and its not bad at all, a relatively novel concept, its like a mixture of a puzzle game and a rhythm game like ddr, since you need to press the corresponding buttons when the blocks appear. for a first try youre doing well imo, keep expanding on the concept, for example you could add some simple beats and samples that activate when you press the correct block, since you already have some rhythm game mechanics in it.

Good job on your first little game! Smile

What i noticed just at looking the screenshots is the color scheme.
It seems like your colors are each maximum in the RGB range. For example your red has red=255, green=0, blue=0. At least it seems so. I would definiately make them "less maximum" lol. Don't know how to write it Surprised
Try take a look at the Google Style Guide: http://developer.android.com/design/style/index.html

Your game is probably just some experiment for your first game. But trust me, if something looks sexy at first glance, many more people will download it just because of that Very Happy

You're right Bob, I have used the maximum range to distinguish the blocks, but it can be much much better. I'm a programmer not a graphic artist, I wish I had graphic design skills Scratch Head

I will try to improve the graphics when I have free time.

You should find a a good GUI artist as partner. Everyone should be doing their job. It's useless to try and cover everything especially because GOOD artists are good because they have taste - something that can't be obtained by just reading a few tutorials.

That's actually pretty cool mate Very Happy

It might also be cool to have different modes, because like The_Zeel says there's definitely some DDR/Guitar Hero potential in there.

wowww thanks for the constructive comments guys. It really makes me feel better. At least polosistealth's wife enjoys the game Smile Also about the Chuckie Egg game, certainly I can develop it but 'm not a graphic designer, if only i can find a gui artist as Waargh suggested. Heck hence I developed a game with simple squares Laughing

I haven't played much rhythm based games. I think the only game i played was on Dreamcast called Rez, and i pretty enjoyed it but can't remember the game mechanics. i I guess i will need audio samples, beats etc.

Can you give me more detail please polosistealth? I've tested it on a Nexus 4, Galaxy S3, HTC One, Nexus 7, and an 8" tablet, and it worked fine.

I'm currently tweaking the gameplay.

I imagine it to be really fun, developing apps for Android as a "newcomer". Thanks to all those different hardware combinations, Android version and custom roms Sad
