i obviously can't play gta v online with my jtag. i would just buy it, but i'd rather buy the pc version when it comes out due to all the inevitable mods that will breath a ton of new life into the game.
so i got 2 Ms28's with bunk lasers (even after adjusting) and i have a jtagged box with a liteon that is never going to need it - so my question is can i just write the key for one of the samsungs into it, slap it in that box and hop online? i don't care about getting banned, i have 4 or 5 of these things laying around and i haven't been on Live in over 2 years and haven't missed it.
the jtagged box with the liteon is a xenon, oddly enough, so i know it had a MS28 to begin with. i don't know if it went back to MS for repair and they swapped it out or if someone did what i just asked about and was using it.
after waking up a bit more and re-reading i think my post might be a little confusing.
what i'm after is will i need to spoof the lite on to match the samsung it is replacing, or can i just patch the samsung key into the lite on drive, hook it up and go?

and your done , most of the time this is what is done for fats in service when they get a broken sammy or hitachi or benq .... and in XBOX S to make them read burned media
but dont start the X without a drive in it , it auto logs it , and marks you for flagging , if you do that
that's about the conclusion i had come to. i can't seem to find out if it is necessary to spoof it so the osig matches or not so i'm just going to match the keys and flash it and if it works that's fine for me. if it gets banned it won't bother me any.
thanks mira, i had read something like that. i went ahead and spoofed the drive anyway even though i had read not to. it's probably flagged but that's ok.
all went well and it works fine so far. so nice to not get hit with unreadable disc error every 30 mins.
