I saw that upped on Rin... 1.3GB. Does anyone have today's updated files? Should only be 75MB unless they patched the audio files again.

It updated just 75mb for me, but some of the files updated are bigger than that.

The patch unfortunately only added some UI adjustments and the voices in the menu, the game is still nearly unplayable with mouse&keyboard. I'll have to wait a bit more it seems Razz

Well i tried the patch yesterday. 16:10 and other "non standard" resolutions are finally in and work with no problems.
But mouse/keyboard is still as crap as before. I can't click on anything in the ingame menus, still needed to use WASD for that. Also the mouse speed is fucked up even more then before the patch it seems WTF. Vertical speed for example feels like it's 0.1, while horizontal is like 10.0 Shocked

Also having problems with the mouse. Vertical movement is fucked - I tend to face the opposite direction from where I want to go when turning quickly with the mouse.

There seems to be a problem relating to mouse/keyboard.
Whenever I run and strafe and then start aiming I have to press down the keyboard buttons again or else the player will just stand there.

Yeah, glad I finished it using a 360 controller and not waiting for them to implement it because they did a bad job.
I can't believe this game is being sold as a "pre-release" when they've only got ONE guy working on it while the rest of the team are working on the XBAWX DLC.
That's really showing people that they are putting minimal effort to the PC port and that ladies and gents makes me really regret purchasing this game in it's current state (my own fault, I know).

2 Guys working on it, and this isn't the final result of K&M it's simply the first pass, with more revisions to come. What would you call it if not pre-release? It's certainly not the product it will be when it's finished.

I'd call it "quick money while we work on a DLC".
And yes, I'm part of the problem for actually paying for it in it's current state without checking how they are working on it beforehand.

Actually mate, I'd say you were part of the solution and I thank you for that Smile If people DIDN'T buy the game on early access, where the developers could recoup some money (because you can be damned sure Microsoft aren't paying them for their time) then there's every chance it wouldn't have surfaced at all. I knew the risks and issues going in from Early Access and I'm happy with that, rather a fully-working but feature-incomplete game than nothing, especially from a small development team.

it was all payed by MS on Xbla , iirc PC version they are making from their own money and from early access - so no surprisel that priority is DLC(aka payed by MS) than PC (own funds)

Well, I did understand and read the big "NEED AN XBOX CONTROLLER" and was fine with it.
However, what I didn't notice was that the game has already been out a month and just now a patch surfaced to add mouse and keyboard (with a heap of issues on it's own).
I've already finished the game, it was ace for 20 bucks and worth it. However I'm concerned that they've put a skeleton crew to patch it and get it ready for release because that feels as if it's going to take a LONG time just to get the basics working (proper M&KB settings, resolution, languages) and then even longer to actually make it work without the game spazzing out on people with stutters and weird bugs.

I really like the whole concept of the game and I'm guessing if this was only for consoles it would have been great but for PC this needs a LOT of work.
Anywho, I hope they'll prove me wrong and get the game ready A.S.A.P.

They have yet to receive any payment for the PC version from Valve btw, they are using their own resources to do the PC version until that check comes in while Microsoft are still paying them to work on the DLC for the XBox. there are only so many resources they can pull from their own pocket for this version until they receive the money from Valve.

Yep, as well as it being an Early Access title, they made no end of disclaimers saying that people should know what they are buying into before they lay cash down. Then people still turn around and complain that it isn't going quick enough.

I don't think most people realize that only a couple people are working on the game, I didn't even know until recently. And it's understandable considering they must have made a decent amount of scratch from the Xbox version, why they haven't hired a few more people is a mystery, a game of this scale needs at least a dozen people working on it, even KSP has about that many developers.

I explained it above. The last time a dev commented on it they were still waiting on their earnings from valve, and so the resources for PC development are coming from their own pockets and not Microsofts or what they have made on the PC version. Whether that's still the case I don't know but the reason why they only have a couple of people on it and a full team on the 360 DLC is because Microsoft are still paying them for that DLC. I've no doubt that once they receive their payment from Valve/Steam they will attribute more resources to it.

Of course I will complain if I think something takes way too long to complete. Just because it's early access doesn't give them a free pass on taking ages to update.

Yeah, I have now more info about how many are working on it and why the DLC is a priority. But still, sooner is better than later. :-p

Maybe not, but you have to keep in mind they did say that the finished game wouldn't be done until the end of the year. They also mentioned that anyone that gets frustrated should wait until the game is finished.
