Not sure if this is news or not. Some transcript from some hotshot over at Lionhead....
Black&White 2 is coming out this week and I'm feeling like a kid, it's awesome! The past few months I've been doing quite some traveling, to Paris and Leipzig for example, mainly to promote our games but also to meet people. This Friday there's the big launch event in the Virgin Megastore where quite some people from our community will get together! Please post a message in this topic if you feel like coming down. This is pretty awesome; Ron Millar and Peter Molyneux will be giving demonstrations, signing sessions and some other cool stuff. And there will be more members of the team! We'll also probably be giving away fabulous prizes on location there, but you'll have to come down to find out! And I also hope to have pictures from the event.
As you might also already have read in the transcript from the developer chat; we will be releasing a patch on 6th October. If all goes well. This patch will fix some issues but more importantly allow those who really, really, really, really don't want to play the tutorial, to skip it. I have to warn everyone though; I sincerely would not recommend skipping the tutorial the first time you play Black&White 2; as you will miss out on some very cool stuff and there is a lot of new mechanics and interactions to learn. This patch is not critical either but we feel it will improve the strategy aspect of the game. Currently this patch should be ready on Thursday (6th October 2005) and if possible, we'll release it earlier.
If you prefer the old control system, where the right mouse button was to interact and the left mouse button to move around, then you might also want to change around the action and move button in the options menu.
Which actually brings me to the next topic of discussion; the release date! We were led to believe that there would be a worldwide simultaneous release for Black&White 2 on the 7th October 2005. Logistically this was not possible , so we’re looking at the following release dates; 7th October for the USA, the UK and Ireland and 14th October for the rest of Europe. It goes without saying that we’re really upset about this and that we wanted and hoped for a WW release, so that everyone would be able to play this game at the same date. Sadly enough the odds were against us and you; the gamers. Curse our publisher for that one!

Some people who have it on preorder online have said theyre status has changed from preorder to 'being held' so I think either online retails get it 2-3 days early for the shipping or well see a release on the 4th.

well that means that the groups obviously have the game if its in shops..
However grrrrrrrrrrrr im sick of games getting released here after everywhere else.. i hate how companys do this... so annoying
I have pre ordered the game.. however its not released here till the 13th.
If game companys were smart they would do worldwide releases on the exact same time.. (Alot of them do.. but some dont)
In the current state all it does is encourage piracy.

On topic, I think the groups have this game or will be gettin it in the next few hours/minutes and we'll see a workable clone sometime around (going by my time) 10am-12pm EST
I have no idea still, just a guess

To be the first to answer the new topic title:
I think I'll be neutral/good (I don't like the landscapes when you turn evil), but somehow make my creature (A lion, indubitably) 'bad'. I'm seriously going to make that thing insane (in the true sense of the word. Psychotic, emotionally disturbed).
I'm going to try and teach it to eat only pregnant women.

which is kinda the whole point of being evil I guess so we will see
