from what i remember lod costed the same like d2. and added 2 classes, 1 act, new items, recipes, and game mechanismes. beside one class, sor seems to be the same.
before acusing me of fanboys, let me state that i dont intend to buy sor no matter the price, unless they add a form of ah ingame.

The AH is the worst piece of shit feature of this game. I am extremely competitive and so is my friends, and it happens someone buys a lot of crap to stay ahead because everyone wants to be the best. Instead of getting loot from mobs everyone ends up at the AH buying the best gear. If this is how you think it should be then you're truly fucked in the head.

In Poland D2 was 140zł (~35$ at that time) and the exp was 80zł (20$). But Poland has cheaper games than the West. Standard price must have been 50$ and 30$.

$30 is on the high side, but I guess now that they're getting rid of RMAH they need to make their money somewhere else. $20 would've been more appropriate considering the content they're adding.
Ability to level to 70 and get higher skills / loot, one act, and one class, is pretty much the only exclusive content right?
Things like the new paragon system, the new loot system, loot runs, nephalem trials (or whatever)...will all be available without the expansion I believe?

I think they said only loot 2.0, new paragon system and loot runs will come as a free patch. Everything else will be included in expansion.
It's kinda weird to not to include mystic with loot 2.0 for people without expansion..
Even if you get an item with STR as Demon Hunter., you won't be able to reroll STR > DEX. Seems really counter-productive. |

yeh, cause having a sane way to sell stuff instead of sellling on shit forums or spaming the shit out of chat instead of you know, plying, is really a bad thing.
and in diablo 2 noone buyed ever a single piece of equipment, right ? all top players in top gear farmed their gear in person. especially the items which dropped 1 / month for 500.000 players.
ah disapearence makes sense only by making all the geaar soulbound/accountbound.
please tell me you want that, and you are not against ah becasue of people buying gear with gold. cause you are insane if you think that people would not buy/trade gear without ah. do you really think that removing ah but keeping trading it will make d3 ok, and people will not buy their way to the top of ladders ? cause in that case you are truly fucked in the head, to quote you. take a look at krip and how it makes his way to the ladder in poe. you are competive enough to go againt thousend of people which just handle top gear to krip freely ? that is you definition about a fair game ? me and my friends are better than you and yours ? and what is worst is that the best way to get godly gear, is still a visa/mastercard.
if you are worry about ladders, it shoould be a game mode without ah/trading. like how hc was without rmah.
for the rest of normal nonladder player, i would expect to have a form of ah. if they keep trading between players enabled.
to resume and complete : the only way for me to buy ros is if blizzard will keep trading and ah up and for noncompetitive play.
if they disable trading, without putting the game in offline, modable mode, again i will skip it.
and i will probably not play d3 again. + will open a refund clain.

Umm actually, LOD with Diablo 2, added 2 new classes. The druid and the Assassin, also it added runes and tons of new recipes and tons of new end game....Lod was worth the price, this however is not even worth mentioning.

If you're talking about Diablo Clone and Uber Tristram, then IIRC they were not part of the expansion. They were later added as patches.

Blizzard latly as come with some strange decisions.. Hearthstone no open beta wipe when it comes.. now remove completly the auction house..
It would be alot better if they instead leave auction house in regular softcore and hardcore and in the new 4months or whatever races/leagues they would restrict the use of auction house And when it ends like in path of exile they transfer the races classes items to the regular softcore and hardcore.
That would give the option for people who like the auction house in normal leagues and the new leagues the option for those who like to start fresh selfound a la diablo 2.
Everyone would be happy i guesss

Only argument you have is 2 classes instead of 1.
RoS changes the loot system completely, no more shitty stacking stats all over, interesting items with interesting affixes on them changing builds and whatnot way better than what LoD did.
Lots of end game in it as well, nephalem trials, loot runs etc.
1 new act = equal to LoD.
Rest is complete drivel as usual from uninformed haters.

Partially.
The new interesting items with changed affixes, most of them will be level 70 only (RoS).
Sure the previous legendaries will roll up to level 70 now, but i wasn't talking about those.
Neph/loot trials will also be given for free for old content, however the new content and dungeons (act 5) won't be available unless you buy it. So again, no access to the real endgame (lvl 70 versions of the trials/loot runs in act 5).
New class/act = xpansion only.
Also forgot to add the mystic.
Funny thing is that as you already mentioned sin, most of these changes will come to the game for free, yet people still whine about it. When's the last time a dev bothered to give so much content for free on a once-pay-to-play game? Except CDProject Red?
