Well Ive been checking for the software update on the iPhone and the iPad and it constantly says 'checking for update ...' and goes nowhere.

Guess Apple servers are still busy. :/

May the NFOrce be with you always.

Last version I installed was a beta release, but it keeps telling me I'm up to date.

Because beta can't update to GM/retail. You have to restore to it manually. You should have reverted to ios6 and then did a normal update to the GM while you still could last week. Now you'll have to do a full restore to 7 as you are stuck on beta 6.

Unless you are confusing beta for GM.

Ah! That's what I needed to know, thanks buddy. Smile

They've ruined the calendar app. There is no longer a mini preview, you can see a traditional calendar, with a blob to indicate there are events on that day, but you have to click into the day and away from the calendar screen to actually see the events.

Damn it Apple!!!!

Like I want to see a summary of the events on a day, whilst also seeing the calendar. So I can Flick across days in a whole month, looking at events on each day, without clicking back or scrolling a week at a time

You just click the date on the full month view and it zooms to that day with the top 1/3rd still showing that week.

Nope. Laughing
The difference is, functionally, very little has changed. Everything familiar has remain familiar. Just different aesthetics, for better or worse.

Damned.

My cousin updated her iPad 3 to 7.0.2 and it really does lag an annoying amount at times. I don't know if it's because it's an iPad 3 or because that's just bugs left in there, but it's annoying nonetheless. Every time you get the keyboard up first time in an app and switch to numbers, there's a solid 1-1.5 second delay before it switches. Also plenty of occasions where you press a button or swipe and it just hangs there for a good second or two. And a lot of the animations simply stutter.

Sadly I'll probably have to update mine as well, since the Top Gear Magazine doesn't seem to work anymore. It says iOS5+ but mine won't restore any purchases. Maybe I'll just update to 6.1.3 - I'll lose my Jailbreak either way so..meh :/

You can't update to 6.1.3. Apple no longer signs for iOS 6.x installs.

We have an iPad 4 at work, and it lags too. It's the software. iOS7.1 is expected in October with the new iPad announcement and is expected to be optimized for iPads.

I love it on my iPhone 5.

On my girlfriends 4s I hate it. Too slow. Same with the iPad.

It's only worth installing if you have a 5 IMO.

Weird that they try to force it on devices that aren't really all that compatible with the version.

Im using it with a iphone 4. Some of the features are nice and extremely useful like the bottom control center. Because I constantly have to change brightness, this makes it a lot easier. But overall the OS just feels way too laggy. Im not sure how to feel. It has its ups and downs
