No, actually the whole chocolate gets smaller (height) by a very small amount. You can see it at the moment it loops.

Well they didn't cut any of the pieces. its mostly a trick of it 'looking' the same overall size to the naked eye but its not.
That old geometry trick of where the total area is smaller, but not noticeable but still works out as a rectangle. the missing surface area is spread along the top edge where its not noticeable, why it looks taller when its looped, because it is taller.
The angle cut hides the fact that once moved, the total surface area missing along the top edge equals the surface area of the removed piece.
