Christ, fuck this game into oblivion. FIFA 13 wasn't fair, but 14 is just absolutely ludicrous, 3 games out of 15 I lost when I had 20 shots on target and the adversary had 1 shot and that one in the last minute, and it led to a goal. I have no problems with losing when the other guy has a better team, or plays better than me, or even when it's a close match and I lose 3-2 or any other tight score, but when you absolutely destroy the other team and still lose, I just.. it's beyond comprehension. Thankfully, I have yet to reach a point where I absolutely ravage my keyboard beyond repair, but I really doubt that I have a long way to go for that to happen.
"I have not encountered in my whole gaming experience such an unfair game" is what I said when I played FIFA 13, imagine how I feel about 14.
Am I alone in this ?

The same!!! Thats why I stopped playing FIFA. All this game is doing is trying to screw you over in any possible way. Just don't bother with it.

anyone met people who are able to disconnect without a loss? got two people in a row, in 90th i score the 3:1 and they instant quit and i get connection los, not the usual opponent has left. some desynchronized shit and i dont get the win, wtf?

mh from the speed they quit alt+f4 would be reasonable... but i rage quitted a match in fifa13 months ago with altf4 and it counted as loss... and i had to quit 14 by altf4 cause i tabbed out in half time to check mails or so and the game wasnt able to pop up again (happens one out of 500 times maybe), counted as loss too. so that cant be the reason

it happens for me sometimes during the game, the credits, anywhere really.
of course then, online functionality is completely disabled til i restart...

No release notes but I did notice some improvements, it seems heading and through balls are nerfed and the players switching seems better.
Might be placebo though.

In fact something did changed. They just announced it on twitter and on their forums for some time:

second title update? there wasnt even a first one for pc...have played a few mathes today and havent noticed any changes... gonna check it tomorrow. easy to proof if they fixed the signal iduna park "bug". in those 3-4 coop saison matches earlier today i had a few situations where headers were op as usual (ok, only two headers, but enough to complain about)

na, game updates itself. shouldnt be possible to play with someone unpatched. but again today i noticed some things, yesterday i didnt... a bit strange, headers are fixed now. but yesterday it looked like not...

It is possible to play unpatched and sometimes its required to check for updates manually.
Yep, that's it. Some people don't have the patch yet or the just chose to not update the game to be able to continue with the crossing and lb+y abuse.

@ivan1real: lol,but maybe they fixed it serversided? yesterday i got many roster mismatch aborts in coop saison... dunno
@leo: strange, had the same when reinstalling win with fifa13. but with 14 i downloaded the 3dm preload stuff and just copied it. origin just downloaded the german commentary and was done. sure it was downloading? copy the files into origin games folder, start origin, rightclick fifa14 and click repair installation

The game always requires origin to be running on the background.If u close it forcefully the game hangs but opening the origin again resumes it.ive 2 origin accounts,You have to start the game with the main account which have the game;then while in game if you forcefully close the origin and then again start the origin with another origin account which doesn't have the game wont affect it.So basically the protection is not always online but it requires your authentication whether you have the game in origin or not during the start up.
This forum deserves a better troll, and I am gonna give it to'em....
