Since I'm often looking for new quick and easy recipes and I don't think this exists yet, this could be beneficial for some. Maybe we can collect at least some of the humpers favourite recipes Wink

1. Pea spaghetti (own recipe)

- 400 gramms of frozen peas (get the good ones, this is important for taste, iglo in germany)
- 200 gramms of bacon cubes
- 1 large oninon diced
- 250-400 ml of cream (or if your girlfriend whines about fat content like mine does some subsitute like Rama Cremfin in Germany)
- 2 buillon cubes (adjust according to taste)
- 2-3 cloves of garlic (adjust according to taste)
- some milk
- 500g spaghetti or any other pasta

fry the bacon cubes and diced onion, add peas, cream, chopped garlic and buillon cubes(the sauce should taste almost a little to strong since the pasta will eat up a lot of the taste). Add some pepper and let simmer for a couple of minutes. Add a little milk if you used less cream or the sauce is to thick. Don't worry if the sauce feels a little to thin in the pan. It will get thicker when it cools down a bit. Put on boiled pasta. Enjoy amazing taste Wink

It's a very easy and tasty recipe and we make it frequently, it should look something like this when it's done:

1. ditch the bouillon cubes, no need for those at all
2. also you probably forgot olive oil? simmer several garlic cloves cut in thin slices in oil first until slightly brown and ditch them
3. proceed with the recipe simmering all that stuff in now-garlic-flavored oil

1. no, those are existential. Hence I don't even use salt. You won't get the taste of vegetable broth without using those cubes (unless you got a few hours and want to cook the vegetables down yourself, which is a shitload of work and even then doesn't taste as strong due to the missing glutamate)
2. no, no olive oil, if you want to fry the garlic cloves beforehand use butter it will better combine with the cream afterwards. But I wouldn't do that either.
3. it's a sauce, its liquid, not stuff frying in oil.

4. while I encourage ideas to maybe improve recipes, try it before you change something, and maybe rather post a recipe yourself first, so we maybe can get something going before drifting into inevitable discussions about how bad glutamate is;)

1. Macaroni
2. Lots of butter
3. Water
4. Maybe some salt

Mix that shit up, just enough water so macaroni absorbs pretty much all of it when boiled = Delicious and piss cheap!
Tip: Can never have enough butter in any kind of food.

Bouillon cubes insta-killed the recipe for me Very Happy Why? Just read the wrapping once. It's like adding rat poison to your dish.

They are my goto when making chicken ramen, I love top ramen as a 3am snack, and get like 4000 packs of it for $2
put in the pack of wtf ever that is that comes with it, then a spoon of chicken stock (or 2 cubes if we have them)..10x better tasting cheap noodles.

I'm pretty simple when it comes to cooking. Tried something i think was amazing during the summer.

1x Flintsteak coated with Sweet Baby Ray Hickory and brown sugar BBQ sauce multiple times during BBQing.

2 options for side dish.

Rice with peppersauce.
or
Cremed potatoes filled with garlic and peppersauce on the side.

on a serious note however. very easy to make... chicken cutlets.

You Need:
- a few nice chicken breasts.
- 2 eggs.
- bread crumbs, plain or flavored.
- extra virgin olive oil
- skillet
- tenderizing hammer (for thick cuts of chicken breast)
- tissues

What to do:
- clean and tenderize the chicken breast if necessary (thicker cuts will require this)
- beat the eggs, add some whole milk if you'd like (just a bit)
- pour bread crumbs on plate (add spices if you want, oregano, shredded parm...etc)
- Dip chicken breast in egg wash
- Dip chicken in bread crumbs, get nice coverage
- repeat till all breasts are covered
- Get skillet nice and hot, add a bit of olive oil (not too much though) Medium-high heat is fine
- cook chicken approx. 3 minutes on each side (will look nice and brown)
- serve with rice, potatoes, veggies...whatever you want
- high five self for awesome lunch/dinner meal
- masturbate while crying
- sleep

Guess Ill toss in my contribution to this thread, Im not much on cooking very often, but post what I cooked over the weekend.

I made stuffed burgers

What you need:

2Lbs ground beef-80/20 fat
Teaspoon of salt
Teaspoon of pepper
Cup of finely grated sharp cheddar
Cup of bacon bits (real crumbled bacon type, not the fake crap)
Teaspoon of onion powder.
few pinches of oregano
Worcestershire sauce (add to taste)
A1 steak sauce (add to taste)
Chopped fresh onion

Mix everything but Cheese, bacon, and onion together in a bowl...make TWICE as many patties as you want, but make them very thin.

Take one patty, flatten middle a bit, and add onion, baconbits, and cheese to the middle up to about 1/4 inch from edge, cover and seal with 2nd patty (also flattened in middle) around edges. Repeat until all are done.

Grill in grill at highest heat possible to sear and brown the outside of the patties until they start to 'sweat' juices, flip and repeat other side. (got to remember the middle isnt meat so dont overcook based on burger size) Reduce heat and place on top rack of grill for 10 minutes to melt cheese inside to 'hold' everything together in there, and allow onions to tenderize and take on beef flavor.

Serve like a normal hamburger, and eat 3-4 of them yourself...and lay on couch for 4 hours all lazy like.

Derp, I missed the context completely in that post >.<

Some people seem to use all that oil shit for cooking when you should be using loads of butter instead!

That being said, i don't use bouillon cubes or oil or butter to cook hehe.

does anyone know the equivalent of that in germany? can I just take maggi texicana salsa? I'll def. try that minute steak strip recipe

And @ stige, while that probably will taste somewhat good, I can't help but to think of this:

Hard for me to get all the recipes, as the english names of usual cooking ingredients are a mess to get Razz

1. get an alusa (aluminium) paper. slice a good portion.
2. gently put some butter to it. (olive oil works too). add some tiny sliced in round onions (optional).
3. get a fresh fish. I suggest you use a soft fish filet, direct from the market.
4. adobe (maserate /marinate?) gently the fish with garlic (in small pieces), pepper. use some tarragon if you may get some.
5. slice some carrots in a large way. (vertical)
6. slice some italian pumpkin (what's the proper word for it. lol!) in the same way than with the carrots.
7. you can add mushrooms or a mushrooms collection to it as well.
7. add some oregano to those vegetables, but don't use much, oregano will kill other flavours.
8. put the fish in the aluminium paper.
9. throw the vegetables into the aluminium too, so that they cover the fish.
10. add some white wine
11. close the "bag", so that you make sure not a single fluid escapes, even if you turn it.

repeat as many times as guest are.

12. put it into the fire (grill) for a 10 min.
you can use an oven too, for some more time.

listo!!

you will seduce anyone with that meal, and it doesn't take much -15 min?- to do it, plus cook time.
