Hello Senator Gibbons
Welcome to the Family Sharing Beta
Family Sharing Beta
To start sharing your games on your shared computers, follow these instructions.
Thanks for participating in the beta! Give sharing a try and join the discussion to contribute your feedback.

Pfft, no thanks. Too restrictive as I don't have a "Family PC" that is shared with everyone. |
Wait, so Family Sharing is restricted to a single PC? Well, that's not as cool as I thought. |
No. Im sharing on 3. I think limit was 10..
It doesn't have to be a "shared" PC. You can just authorize your friends/family members personal machine so he/she can play all your Steam games, that they don't have.

This is probably not possible, but can this family share enable to play the same game in LAN from two PCs?
That would be the only feature worth checking out.

Nope... It is, as the name suggests, for use in a family situation first-and-foremost. So, logging on and authorising your partner or children's PC (in the same house as you) is easy enough, but anything more distant is harder. Not impossible, though - you just have to trust someone enough to give them your password so they can authorise their computer. (Theoretically, anyways.)

I'd say either both are real or both fake. In any case a Portal 3 is not in development while HL3 is.
Also the Valve thread is more fitting.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Man, that's a badly worded article. It heavily implies that games like F1 2011 and Warhammer 40k are getting GFWL removed. However, when you click the link to this
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Big_List_of_3rd_Party_DRM_on_Steam#Games_for_Windows_Live
You can see that the chances of some of those games getting it stripped out is very remote.

- Batman: AA & AC are very good candidates because similarly to BioShock 2 there has been behind the scenes tinkering of them in the Steam registry: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=69524191&postcount=1
- Epic says they are discussing it internally to remove GFWL from Bulletstorm: https://twitter.com/iFlak/status/370134831885086720
- I assume if they decide to do it for Bulletstorm they will do it for Gears of War as well.
- Lastly Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet's developer said "Thank God!" when the news of GFWL marketplace's shut down were announced and he added that soon the Steam version will remove it entirely. http://indiestatik.com/2013/08/16/insanely-twisted-shadow-planet/
edit whattttttt?????????? already answered?? nooooooooooooooooooooooo
edit well at least that site doesn't mention Bulletstorm

I just got my invite for Steam Family Sharing. It's weird because their last announcement about sending out invites was about the 10,000 that went out on Oct. 2nd. Check yo inboxes, y'all!

Okay, there's been a bunch of strange updates today. All 0-500 bytes each, some for really strange games that you normally wouldn't expect updates to;
3DMark 11
Akaneiro
Day One: Gary's Incident
Hotline Miami
Jet Set Radio
Knights of Pen & Paper
Miner Wars 2081
On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4
Sacred Citadel
The Pit
Underrail
Velvet Assassin
Zack Zero
... and nope, no cards added either.
