Sooo how does one update the game with the patch that just came out? Apart from introducing Online they also fixed some SP stuff.
I have an RGH with the newest FSD.

Now that the hype has passed and people have clearer heads is the hype worth it? I hated older GTA games because of the go here do this then do that "gameplay" that is required to finish the story and from what I have seen on youtube this is not much different.
Also keep in mind this game had a budget of US$265 million, development took up US$137 million and $128 million was just marketing. What really bother me is what if that marketing money was just to pay off reviewers / websites.
PS. If it isn't clear I don't have this game yet.

I guess its related to the latest update but I noticed the bouncers dont object to you touching the girls during a lapdance anymore.

Is there a way to update the game if Im using a non-jtagged console that just has a flashed dvd drive?

well paid off reviewers or not, for me this is the definite game of the console generation, but i also liked previous gta games. you still have to drive around or fly around alot, so if you dont like that then its not your cup of tea i guess, although the campaign missions are greatly improved over 4.

played for a couple of hours and first impressions:
- it's gta iv with fancier lobby (open world) and shitload more of modes
- reminds me of APB
- you can choose if you want to play with free-aim or auto-aim

And I can confirm that any cars that you had previously upgraded will "Magically" appear back in your garage they disappeared from..

Have you, by any chance, started visiting the Strip Club for missions? Later in the game Trevor  Spoiler: | acquires the strip club |
so the bouncers don't mind after that.

I still get "Failed to host a GTA Online session" error =/
People have been talking about races and crap, hell i cant get past that error.
i atleast thought it would work somewhat better today... PS3 btw

So played a bit more last night, was finally able to get through the tutorial missions, and now the online portion of the game is "unlocked" and free for me to roam.
Made my dude, bought some clothes, stole a nice car and insured it, did a few missions with some random dude, played some TDM.... it's pretty fun. Nothing amazing right now, but it's alright, could definitely use some improvements. Lets see what the next few months hold for us.
Tried looking up players from the NFO crew and it wasn't loading anything, so I couldn't join any of you guys  Will try again tonight, noomi on xbox if anyone wants to friend me.
