Although I hate dlc in general, the battle field dlc is good value. Good amount of content, reasonably priced and not needed to enjoy the game in the future, the base game will get support for the next years from ea.
EA could give the dlc away for free and still make a shitload of money out of BF4 off course, but i guess they don't hate money.

And they have no saying in this. It's EA.
I hate the fact that I have to buy the game twice, even though they know about DLC months before the release. |
Would it help you if they said they know nothing about DLC, and then a few months later announced they have come up with some ideas and will release DLCs for the same price?
I mean, I don't see how it matters whether they know it or not. Activision should give their CoD sequels away fro free, since I am pretty sure they aware of them well ahead of the original's launch
I am no fan of those season passes in general either, but if it adds good content, then I don't see the problem. We get one Battlefield game + 5 expansions (essentially another 20 maps, among other things) for 2 years.
You get a CoD game + some season pass every year from Activision... at least EA doesn't pretend their DLC is a brand new game (in before BF 3.5)

This, bf3 has the same buisness model dlc wise, but bf3 premium was not sold at launch (at least I didn't noticed it), so nobody complained.

Well the game + Premium cost me the price of a regular full game, so I don't have an issue with it. I wouldn't pay the full 50 EUR for Premium, but together for 50 EUR that's mighty fine. Especially considering the number of hours I'll get out of it.

also, imo, bf3 "stand alone" is a pretty solid game on its own. The DLC's are really optional.
And most servers run vanilla maps only as well, so it's not like you're forced to get the dlc's to play.

Well, 50 is more like it. I got BF3 + Premium for 40 euros. How'd you do it? |

Driver is nowhere to be found on the website. I must be derping.
EDIT: Found it! Don't try searching specifically for BETA drivers, or the new driver won't show. Instead use ALL.

Same for me guys, late afternoon perhaps if I manage to be Flash Gordon and delegate some stuff .
At least I've downloaded everything, it took me 10 hours but it's done. Installed the new drivers too so that the game can run at more than 30fps with my 570. My body is practically ready.
