Sniper - 3 / 10 - I can't understand why I thought this movie was good back in the day? The acting is terrible by any standards, the dialogues are forced and unnatural. The story is amateur work at best and the effects and sense of authenticity just isn't there. Three is grading this as a B-movie as well. Giving consideration when it was made and the crap that came out in the same time period.

sandberg caught me by surprise. it was one of those oh he's doing this shtick i should fast forward... but he had some very good lines. Glad i didn't.

the roast king was disappointing as was the snl guy. Sad

Very very enjoyable oldschool action flick with some hot killer whores! Never got bored while watching it. And Ragnar Lothbrok was cool too

Europa report 7/10. I'm a sucker for scifi, and this was decent. Really interesting until about 80% through, when things start to become a bit predictable.

The purge 4/10. Don't really know why I finished it. I love distopian future stories, unfortunately it functions only as a gimmick and as an excuse to make a lowbudget movie (i assume). Which sucked balls. So many silly things. Weird kid, why? Silly robot, why? Crazy boyfriend, why? Positive note: main psycho had a genuine creepy smile. Also I was shocked that I did not recognise Lena Headey until halfway through the movie.

Recently watched:

The Dead (yesterday): 9/10 FINALLY a REAL fucking ZOMBIE movie. The best zombie movie (in it's true sense of the title) since... since.. heck, since Day of the Dead. This is a pure survival movie, tense, not about gore or action but about survival. And these are REAL zombies. They walk on broken legs, crawl.. They don't fucking run or jump/climb like chimpanzees. Desolate, friendships, tragedy, fear, tension.. without chain guns, nukes, high tech weapon zombie killing.

The Bay (tonight): 7/10 About an incident that happened in a small town along Chesapeake Bay where extremely polluted water (esp. from a chicken industrial farm that drops tons of chicken shit into the water, chicken food that is full of steroids which affect the ecology in the water causing.. well, you'll have to see for yourself). Decent movie.

Europa Report: 7.5/10 As described above... it was more psychological and with some really good scenes. A little slow at times but then the crew in this little vessel went on a 22 month journey to reach Europa so it kinda fits.

The World's End: 8.5/10 Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with co-actors makes a really good dark comedy. Less goofy (...well.. up till a point... Wink ) than their earlier work, part tragic, part comedy, it's great acting by all of them. I recommend this one.

7 / 10 - Thoroughly enjoyable with some facepalm moments. But very entertaining nonetheless.
