Oh SNAP!! Der Langrisser is fucking awesome. It's the sequel to "Warsong" in the West, the Megadrive version is one of my favourites and one of the VERRRRRRY few tactical RPGs that I like. DAT MUSIC Very Happy Have you got the 1.02 patch by Byuu and D-Team? Supposedly the work of SIX YEARS, so I'd be astounded if it was machine-translated.

No this is a very old but nearly 100% complete pack of all SNES titles that I downloaded some years ago, and it also has a few of the various hacks and adjustments to some of those roms.
(It could do without the Super Mario Bros games in 100 versions each though... Razz )

I'll try that translation instead then, I'm already using Higan so if it's the same Byuu the work should be high quality. Smile
(It might not be the best emulator as I think we discussed earlier but it's pretty cool to have a emulator that's nearly 100% accurate representation of a SNES machine without hacks even if it makes it WAY slower, actually without the x64 "balanced" version my PC would probably not manage full 60 in some titles either and the SNES hardware is nothing compared to the newer consoles, he he.)

Aye, it's the same Byuu that created bSNES (and now called it Higan) and I agree; while I prefer zSNES for overall gameplay, it is nice to see someone championing cycle-accuracy in emulation. It reminds of the MAME team wanting to make sure everything is as close to perfect as possible, without using HW tricks, even if it does mean you need INSANELY POWERFUL machines to correctly emulate games from over 20 years ago Laughing

Yep, nothing too fancy involved, only High settings + AF 16x forced via drivers and this basic SweetFX preset: http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/725/

@JB: Dream looks cool!

many thanks mate. I've put SweetFX last night and I saw a big improvement in the graphics, but now I will try your SweetFX setup Very Happy to see if my old GTX260 will handle. At least I have i5 with 16GB RAM, so maybe it will work.

thanks for the setup of SweetFX Very Happy

It kinda looks like the Silent Hill rust environment in a way. Smile
(Actually it's very similar in design although without the biological goo stuff. Razz )

yea, i`ve just quoted that one screen for the quote itself (still picture is not that impressive), didnt want to repeat them all again but that scene with "light thing" moving is crazy, all those rats blowing up, particles etc etc.

Oh, but yeah it's kinda like a scene late in Metro 2033 where Artyom and Khan are moving past a electrical "anomaly" and a horde of smaller enemies rush past and gets zapped by it.
(Albeit here it looks much more impressive.)

EDIT: Having watched the GIF again it's pretty similar to how that played out in Metro 2033, I guess the Khan mission in the next DLC will be similar with mysticism and such events.
(It's still weird how the content is fully playable, A4 probably shouldn't have included the levels with the update but it's nice that they did. Razz )

I think it's a bit of both, some of the debris is probably from PhysX but the lighting is DX11, well from what I can tell at least. Smile
(Metro 2034 uses PhysX to a much better degree than Metro 2033 but as a result that setting is very demanding on the GPU.)

thanks, its all running only on a GTX 660 Ti @ 1010mhz
everything on max, no ssaa, physx on and sweetfx (ultra smaa, sharpen 0.30 pattern 4, exposure 0.05, vibrance 0.1, s-curves 0.08, dither). Fov 57
I get 40-55fps , fluid enough for this game. I still play on my ancient 1680x1050 display though, but with less smaa it should also run fine on a higher resolution.
only the sparks are physx in the scenes, maybe some of the debris. (without physx it just falls through the floor and doesn't bounce off)
the game has some other awesome physx effects that aren't shown, there is a ton of debris when you shoot walls and boxes. it looks really good and has less performance impact than Mafia 2 or Batman.

For State of Decay it's mostly a edited Mission0.xml file from the level.pak archive. Smile

Since this is CryEngine 3.0 to 3.4 somewhere it can't use the TOD or "Time of Day" settings from Crysis 1 OR Crysis 3 which leaves only a few alternatives since there's not that many mods for Crysis 2 and even less that have a full custom mission xml file for their levels from what I know at least.

Thus the choice was between Maldo 4.0 which would take ages to download or a stand-alone version of BlackFireMod so that's what I used just for a quick test.

Anyways:
http://www56.zippyshare.com/v/76307747/file.html
Extract to .\StateOfDecay\Game\Levels and in that folder rename or move the existing level.pak file. Smile
(This mod does not alter the existing .pak archive and instead relies on the loose files that the game reverts to using if said archive is not available.)
