I cracked and rented it. Xbox was not used for probably 2 years, and before it was a Netflix player. Very Happy

I wasn't ready for the poor framerate and low res, but after couple of days and slight adjustments to TV settings I'm settled in. Having a blast.

Looks legit Cool Face

On a side note, I pre-ordered this and played it for the past couple of days. I love the game. The story is great so far.

However, the overall peformance (PS3 here) leaves a lot to be desired. I understand what they have accomplished and I'm still impressed, but the choppy framerate actually hurts my eyes after a while. Ultimately, this gen is showing its age. Sure, they are great at what they do, usually, but why should I, as a customer, suffer through poor performance if I don't need to? In other words, allow me to upgrade that stuff.

I know it's not going to happen and I'm just "venting" in my own way, it's just that I find it very difficult to argue that a console is EVER better than a PC in overall usage. If I have the means (read: money) to play it better/smoother, then let me do so. I've paid for that privilege.

I am going against my own dilemma here due to the fact I bought it on console instead of waiting for the PC version, I know that hehe. But, if anything, it will allow me to enjoy it all that much more when the PC version does hit the shelves.

The whole how many processes are running "thing" made me laugh is all when I saw the guy had 111 of them running. As something that caught my eye, I commented on that I had only 45 running. I like to keep my system running with as few things in the background as possible, I thought 45 was pretty low is all, and that was all I commenting on, lol. Those pop in issues will have to eventually be addressed somehow because if Rock$tar can't then they can't release a digital version on the 360.

The comments, oh god the comments lol wut

Quote:
PC gaming worries me, I have always been a console gamer but as I grew up and when the rise of the Indies were happing (and still is happening) I decided to build a gaming PC. Though PC is quite frankly sub-par when it comes to gaming, nothing ever works quite right.

Quote:
Man those pirates really want to get their hands on GTA.

Quote:
I doubt Rockstar wants to waste their time with a PC version knowing that it'll be pirated millions and millions of times.

Quote:
Even if all those people who signed went and bought a copy (highly unlikely) it still doesn't warrant the effort to port it to a niche platform.

It's just not worth rockstars time, simply business.

Quote:
It's why most companies don't make PC games any longer. It's just to easy to go on Piratebay and download the game for free. Why would a logical person pay for a product when it's easily available for free? Why should Rockstar release a PC version so everybody can download it off of KAT or Piratebay?

Quote:
Pc "gamers" don't count anyways

Quote:
PC gamers are retarded, for real. The only reason most of them want a PC release is

1. So they can easily pirate it

2. So they can mod the original game

They aren't going to release a PC version for like 6 months because of this, I don't understand why people find this so hard to understand

Quote:
console version is better

Quote:
By an Xbox or a Playstation? Games like GTA play better with a controller anyway. Been using my controller to play Saints Row IV On PC. Feels much better.

Online petition lol wut

Who the fuck really needs this spelled out for them? They won't announce a PC version as long current gen consoles version is selling well. Why would they cannibalize their sales? And there are so many idiots willing to pay twice for it, this is the real reason they don't release them together. Double dip and the idiots willing. They may even do tripple dipping this time, because they know people would buy the "next gen" version, and then pay once again for the PC version.

They're just ignorant and feel insecure that their consoles are massively underpowered compared to modern PCs. Exclusives are the only way they can continue to feel good about themselves when it comes to gaming, that's why they don't want PC versions to be released - purely out of spite.

Are You Serious

No, no one pirates console games, nope.

Way to perpetuate the dumb console gamer stereotype. Though I'm beginning to think it's more than just a stereotype.

Their arguements are always shit, they always talk about the high cost of PC gaming meanwhile they're paying $400-500 for the console, plus another $60 for an extra gamepad, $120-180 for 2-3 games and paying for the online service(at least on XDerp).

Meanwhile on PC, I can get "AAA" games for much cheaper and since I'm not a complete fucking idiot I don't have to replace my entire PC every two years like these morons think.

Fuck it, kill them, kill them all, round 'em up and shoot them.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
