I think the chances of prey coming out in Oct = 0%. Considering the game has always been advertised as coming out next year or was that just me who thought that??? Where exactly did you see Prey dated for an October release???
Gamesmaster isn't just a name!
It's a statement!!!

same here..currently in the process of shaking out the furniture to see if i can afford the coll ed...civ just is one of those few games with seeminly 'infinite' replay value....and with the extra moddability with xml the devs talk about...and the new rar mod...and 3d goodness...and everything else...goodbye life...

modding modding I begin to wonder what use it have nowadays... you could make a RTS out of source engine and doom engine too and they have better tools and support that you could have from any other games with mod support, but the problem is that nobody take the time to do it. If you really want to create something I guess the best bet is to do like me and create your own directx engine in C++ that way you won't be limited to the engine you mod on.

Creating an engine from scratch is a very hard work Dunge. It's not like the average Joe, with some knowledge in programming can sit and do it. I have been programming for over 7 years, and I never came close to finishing a fully operational 3D engine, capable of doing stuff that professional engines do it. Your prolly really good if you pulled it off, not everybody can do it.

if you dont think anyone takes the time to do it, you should download the rise & rule mod for civ 3. i was pretty dissapointed in civ 3 when it first came out, but when i was playing around with the mod, it opened my eyes to a whole new game. not only did it expand the technology tree with 3 or 4 TIMES the # of techs, it added more ages, hundreds of units, whole new trading game mechanics, more strategies with units, and so much more. it was like 10 times the original content of the game. And that was with a game not even designed to be modded! so yes, i am drooling over the possiblities with part 4.
