The game mechanic puts more of a emphasis on player mass and momentum. If the player on the ball is off balance their reactions will naturally be slower. This feature works well with the new collision engine too. Like most sports games there is a learning curve from one version to the next.
I'm sure its just the way I'm used to playing. It isn't a delay as i my PC cant handle it, its just the way the players act I guess. You hit pass, for example, and he receives the ball, lines up the pass (even if he is facing the right way anyway) and then passes. Which seems to take a second or two which really detracts from any pace that the game has (which i know isnt much)
not necessarily the 'ping-pong' its just that human players would not take so long to react/pass. it just feels unnatural. many times, just lining up a simple pass has taken so long that I have opponents swarming me, which in turn ruins the pass.

youre probably used to fifa pingpong
FIFA or not, first touch passes are essential IRL. Granted I haven't play the game yet, so I have no idea if there is a delay, but I'm just saying you should be able to "ping-pong".
yes i cant seem to first-time anything, even volleys and headers are 'delayed' or controlle/brought down to feet for me which makes it impossible. like i said , maybe im doing something wrong
First-time shots are by design rare and hard to pull off (try advanced training for some situations where they work). I'm sad to say that control/finess shots still does not work on manual controls. Trying it will result in the shot going over the bar no matter the power.
i meant by ping pong that u can do perfect 1touch passes for like 10 times a row or the first touch is so fast that it doesnt really matter if you pass with 2 touches, its still fast. Havent tried the game yet so cant comment on how it really feels tho
I'm quite surprised by the game, it seems really good. I too have delay issues though, especially when shooting. It takes a while till the shooting animation starts. This is all after one game though so I expect issues and negative stuff to start popping up.

Also for some reason replays are choppy, its like playing on a console.
Just tried the game, really high expectactions but i must say iam a bit let down, i was really hyped for this but for some reason it feels awkward, ill have to try it a few more times but first impression not good at all :S

First goal I scored, pretty pleased with it. Shooting feels way off though, too floaty and the finesse shots are awful. It just looks lifeless
Have you tried the different shooting techniques? i.e. knuckle shot (press square immediately after letting go of shoot), low shot (same but press triangle) or chip shot (L1 plus shoot).
