bit of an update

i have had a 1.50 psp so this method meant nothing to me , but i was keeping an eye on it for friends who had 1.52 ,

well something happened to my psp this afternoon , my little daughter had got hold of it and run the update in burnout ( which i'd left in the psp )
so there i am with a 1.52 which i thought no sweat i can use this new method to downgrade .
now i knew i had to upgrade to 2.00 b4 i could downgrade so hooked my psp to the pc via usb , now when i hit the network update on the psp by accident it connected to the net and d/l the 2.0 update , i thought " wierd didnt know the psp could use usb to connect to net" , so i dealved a little deeper into this and found out that it is not posssible , upon which i d/c the psp from the pc and ventured about my house testing connections via wi-fi , turns out the school next door to me have a unsecure 4mb wi-fi lan .Laughing
so i been browsing all day and gotta say the new features with 2.0 are really good , so i have decieded to leave it on 2.0 and maybe buy another psp in the future for homebrew Very Happy

get a wireless PC Card and cancel your Net Subscription and just leech off their 4mb wifi connection Razz LOL Very Happy

hhmm I noticed that that link in the downgrader.txt document takes you to the 1.50 JAP firmware... does this matter or is it the same as the 1.50 Euro Firmware?? will I still be able to play Region 2 Films etc???

I believe the PSP defaults to whatever language settings you were using when upgrading/downgrading. Another thing you have to remember is the O is "accept" and X is "decline". This is the opposite in the US, but don't know about Europe.

Europe has the same PSP Buttonconfiguration as the American-Ones.
